These are a full 15-amp remote switch, so the box is a little wider that I had hoped, but you can plug 2 into a standard American outlet, one over the other. Works great with Alexa - BUT - you have to install the Meross app first, then once it's operating the Alexa app takes it over. Should work with other automation systems. There's a manual on/off button on the side. Took just a few seconds to setup. You cannot put furniture too close to the wall due to the thickness of the box and the plug plugged into it - need about 3 inches of clearance. Worked great with the Christmas tree. Read more

I have about a dozen of these plugs and kept coming back based on my experience with Meross’ simplicity and reliability. These plugs offer an excellent HomeKit solution for making dumb devices smart. Also, the low profile allows more than one per outlet plate, which is great (and less common than you’d think). Response time is consistently near instant (via HomeKit or Siri) and super reliable with next to no instances of these plugs bouncing off-line (the solution is simply to unplug and re-plug). Pairing to HomeKit is simple and quick. At their low price point these are an excellent solution to enhance your smart home ecosystem with devices that would otherwise not be possible - heaters, heated blankets, water fountains, white noise machines, coffee machines, lamps, fans, you name it - as long as the device resumes its setting after power interruption. I have some more creative solutions in my home too, such as using shortcuts to activate these plugs when another smart home devices acts as a trigger. The instructions for setting it up could have been made so much easier. They were pushing Apple HomeKit which I did not want to use, so instructions were less than clear. Once it was set up, it was easy peasy and works perfect for my weird situation. YAY. Read more

Setup is easy on HomeKit. I did have a bit of trouble with 2 of the units but if I got away from the router and took the Mini Plug and the iPhone into the garage away from close proximity to the router they hooked up fine. I've ordered more. Read more

Great smart plugs for the price! I wanted something that would connect to HomeKit and didn't need a special hub like some switches. While the Meross app is highly recommended for updating the software of the switches, it is not needed once they are added to the Home app on iOS, and they can be controlled through HomeKit automations going forward. I actually had an issue where one plug wouldn't connect to HomeKit, so I reached out to support for assistance, and to my surprise, was actually able to add it to my Home! This involved connected the plug to the Meross app (without HomeKit), updating the firmware, restarting my phone, then attempting to add the device directly from HomeKit. This took more steps than it took to setup the other plugs, but now I do have all four of my plugs connected to HomeKit and working great! Will see how long-term use holds up, as I had a pack of SwitchBot HomeKit plugs that gave out after about a year or so of use, so hopefully these last longer than those did! I would have preferred if these supported Matter, but broad support for smart home ecosystems is great to see, even if I only use Apple Home for now. They stay connected to my wifi and react quickly to Home automations from other HomeKit devices. Read more
