Perfect!

Works EXACTLY as I wanted it to. Bought this prior to setting up our Christmas decorations this year to control individual light strips via our Apple Home app and it works perfectly. Easy set up, no issues. Works like it should. Highly recommend! Read more

My favorite smart device

SethrymirJanuary 2, 2026

I have now purchased three of these, they integrate with my smartthings system well, though they do take a little bit of extra set up to get them integrated. I use them to control fans and lights and immersion heaters in my greenhouse, especially during the winter, and I use them to control lights and other outlets in my shed. I like my smartthings system, but honestly, if Meross ever made their own smartthings rival, I would switch. Read more

When I first connected it I lost connections a few times, but after running all the troubleshooting steps I got it working and it’s been great since then! Have it set up with my wife and my bedside lamps, fans, and our phone chargers! Read more

Cool Smart-Gadget - Integrates Easily

Displaced Desert RatMay 31, 2019

What will they think of next? A smart-surge-protector, really? I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it. I’ve wanted to stop ‘vampire’ power-drain from the devices in the living room (TV, game-consoles, BD Player, etc…), but let’s face it, having a traditional power-strip behind or under the cabinet and having to reach down every time you need to use a device is just not practical. That’s why the ability to have a smart-plug that can control multiple devices and offer surge-protection as well was a no-brainer for me. The basics here are that there are four AC outlets and four USB ports which are all controllable from the app or via a schedule. The AC outlets can be controlled individually, while the USB ports are all controlled as one. The app has all of the standard features you’d expect, just remember that it calls schedules “routines” instead. I was able to set it up right away using the meross app, and then I just went into the Alexa app and added a new device using Add Device -> Plug -> Other. I didn’t have to add a skill doing it this way. Also, if you want to be able to control individual outlets from Alexa, just rename them in the meross app first, and then re-discover them from the Alexa app, and they’ll be listed individually. I have three game consoles, and a Blu-ray player connected to the AC outlets, and the USB ports are taken up by a FireTV stick, a Google Chromecast, and two USB cables to charge game controllers. I expect to leave the USB ports on most of the time, and only turn on the AC outlets as we need them either via the app, or by asking Alexa to do it. This is also better than having a bunch of individual smart-plugs controlling each device. The cord is six feet long, and the surge-protector itself is a little bulkier than a standard surge protector. It’s larger in every area, which I guess is to account for the WiFi, the controller board, and the USB charger, but not so much that it became a problem for me. What a welcome addition to our ever-growing automated household. Read more

Well built, works great! Another great Meross product!

CaliDreamerDecember 8, 2020

I got into the Meross ecosystem about 6 months ago when I installed the Meross smart garage devices for my two garage doors. Ever since I’ve been delighted with everything they offer. So when I saw they had this smart power strip available, I had to try it. It has been a great purchase and fit my needs nicely. To start, make no mistake, it is larger than your typical (non-smart) power strip, but that’s the trade off for the additional functionality. And really,.. it’s not THAT big. I will say though that it does seem to be built well. The four outlets are individually controllable by app or voice assistant, but the four USB ports are controlled as a group. Not a problem for me, but worth noting. I’ll also mention that the outlets themselves emit an audible ‘click’ when turning on or off, but the USB’s are silent. Again, not an issue, but worth mentioning. Getting it paired with Alexa was easy enough, but I did have a slight problem with it trying to default to Apple Home Kit instead of Alexa. I’m not sure if that’s an issue with this device or Alexa. In any case, it worked fine after a few minutes. Overall I’m very pleased and I’m looking forward to other new Meross products! Read more
