We have several dogs. So we sleep with a large fan on in the bedroom both for the comfortability and to keep any noise down, either us waking up dogs, or dogs waking us up. And yes, first world problem, having to get up to turn the fan on and off. So I decided to try a smart plug, and this one had tons of good reviews. And the price was amazing. It came out to be about $5 per plug when I bought the 4-pack with a coupon that was offered. The setup was extremely easy. The app is great. On the app, you can label each plug AND put a photo of the item being controlled by that particular plug. Which I just think is very neat. Once you have it set up on the WiFi, and get the app set up, it's super easy to control everything. Also, you can set up an account on their app, then log into that account on other devices using the app, so you don't have to go through setting everything up. If you add a device, it will sync up between any devices you are logged into with the account. That made it easy, I just set it up, then installed the app on my beautiful girlfriend's phone and logged into it, and everything was ready for her to use. It says 15 amp capacity per plug, which is decent. I'm not sure I would try to test that capability. I think if you are trying to remotely control the power of any heavier-duty electronics, you should get a plug rated for higher than you plan to use. For example, we use ours for our large fan, which is only 3.5 amps, and lamps around the house. Overall, I was surprised at how well these plugs worked. The app is great. Connectivity is great. The price was great. I suppose the only detail that might detract from a more expensive smart plug is that these plugs only support 2.4Ghz WiFi. So if you don't have that running, you would not get the network connectivity. Other than that, this is an incredible product. Very happy with them. They are used every day, multiple times, with no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend these smart plugs. Read more

💙🩶 Love these so far. Had to replace our older Belkin Wemo devices that often fell off the network. Seems like every few months I had to reconnect them. Love Belkin, but disappointed in those. 1. We already have a Meross 2-outlet outdoor smart plug. Works great x 3 years. 2. We have Apple HomeKit 3. With Matter compatibility, each of these took about 2 min to fully set up and name them in HomeKit. Wow. This is the way it should be! They are all working fine in low wall outlets where the Wemos struggled. 6 stars for easy installation to HomeKit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Read more

These work well for things like plug in Christmas light fixtures. Setup was easy - I had to remember to switch the SSID on my phone to the 2.4GHz network (I have separate 2.4 and 5GHz networks) before doing the matter setup, but once that was complete, the setup completed flawlessly and I'm able to use the plugs in my Apple Home ecosystem. I would expect them to work just as well on the other ecosystems. Read more

This is one of the few Matter items I have now added to my smart home, giving me around a total of 40 different items I use (switches, plugs, lights, garage door, locks, curtain, blinds, etc). Initially I had some issue with getting the smart plug to connect to my Home Kit set up. I could see the plug online, but would not connect to the Apple Home app. I emailed Meross for support and they were quick to respond to my issues. After some trouble shooting myself and from assistance from Meross, I figured out what the issue was. I have both my 5GHz and 2.5GHz Wi-Fi networks set up with the same name. With previous devices I have set up, the device would automatically connect to the 2.5GHz Wi-Fi, but I found that the Meross plug would not. So, I had to go into my router settings and turn off the 5GHz band while setting up the plug. Also, I had to turn off the "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" on my router. (I am using is the Linksys Velop AX4200 WiFi 6 Mesh System.). After getting the plug added to my Apple Home app, I turned my 5GHz band back on. For a few days after the initial setup, the plug would periodically show up and "not responding", but would eventually show back up. After several days to a week, I have not had any issues with the plug "not responding". Overall, the smart plug seems to be a good, compact and solid device. Just had a few issues with the initial setup, but it has been smooth sailing since then. It has been running without issues now for over a month, just like other Meross smart home devices I own. I will keep this inexpensive smart plug device in mind the next time I need to add to my smart home set up. Read more
