I purchased these smart switches on a whim, mainly because the listing promised a quick, easy setup and compatibility with Tuya, which powers most of my smart home devices. Although the product listing indicated 2-day shipping through Amazon, they took nearly two weeks to arrive. While that delay wasn’t the seller’s fault, it certainly dampened my initial excitement. Unfortunately, things went further downhill once I tried to set them up. The instructions provided were extremely limited and unclear. They included a capacitor, which was only briefly mentioned in the documentation, with no real explanation of what it was for or how to install it. The accompanying diagram seemed irrelevant to most standard home wiring setups. I had purchased two units to control separate outdoor LED floodlights. After wiring the first one, it powered on correctly, and the light turned on without issue. However, when I tried to turn the light off, it didn’t shut off completely—it just dimmed and started flickering. Thinking it might be an issue with LED compatibility, I swapped back to a traditional switch and tried the smart switch on another circuit with fluorescent lighting. This time, while the lights did turn on, they flickered when turned off, and the switch itself would reboot. Still hoping for better results, I tested it with a third circuit using an incandescent bulb—only to experience the exact same issues. Suspecting a faulty unit, I tried the second switch I purchased. Unfortunately, both switches exhibited the same behavior on all circuits. In the end, I’ll be returning these. I’m disappointed in the quality and performance of these switches. While the issue doesn’t appear to be with Tuya itself, the hardware from this manufacturer leaves a lot to be desired. If you're looking for a reliable smart switch, I’d recommend looking into options from TP-Link, like Kasa or Tapo. It's a shame—these had potential, but the execution just wasn't there. Read more

Defective item | no replacement Hello. i got this trying to make my youtube studio better. when your streaming with over 2000 people watching you need things like this.. The item was strait forward on how to install. hot in hot out.. DONE!! But after installing my light would randomly come on. i looked in the app thinking it was a setup for time.. but i was incorrect. i have 3 of the switches and only this one is having problems.. so i contacted my cuz. he is a contractor. he came over to see the problem, we found out that the switch is not working as in defective. we moved one from out of the studio to its place.. no problems... i tried to contact seller for return. but no reply.... i do love the item. i would love it to be replace so i can have a working one. but ether how hope this gives some info on the device.. they are ncie just one out of three is having problems Read more
