Perfect music player for my music obsessed 9yo. I searched high and low for a reasonably priced MP3 player, preferably no other apps except music, that was easy to use, she could use with Spotify and Amazon music. The battery life is reasonable! I love that I can control which apps are on it. We've removed all but music and photos. She loves that she can put her own photos on the background. Headphones included are decent. Great size, handles the apps fine, sound quality is good. I also had excellent support through the company's customer service. Recommend if you're looking for a portable music player for a kid who doesn't have a phone. We use it with a Spotify family plan. Read more
We purchased these for our kids and one of them had an issue - it wouldn't complete boot up after the initial setup was done. We contacted the manufacturer who was immediately responsive and helpful. Although we had already started the return process with Amazon, the manufacturer quickly confirmed the same process - that it needed replaced. We asked our 14 yr old son to help with the review: " This MP3 player is good quality, made of aluminum, is feature rich, and has a great concept. Pros: Good Quality, Heavy, great form factor, USB-C, decent battery, and TF card is included. Cons: A bit on the unresponsive side, scrolling isn't smooth, gets rather hot after a while, low pixel density, and touch screen is a bit fiddly. This music player seemed like it was going to be a great gift, it was easy to set up parental controls and add our Google family and Apple Music information. Then it stopped loading. It’s just frozen upon startup. I fully charged it. I soft reset it. Then I hard reset it. I followed tutorials for reset on the documentation and with online videos from other users (there are several) and every reset it’s the same thing it just gets stuck during loading. Like it’s not capable of processing two apps. My kid didn’t even get to use it. It’s very disappointing and feels like a waste of time and money. We are very pleased with this device. It is highly tailorable, with robust parental controls. Currently, my daughter uses it for Spotify and audiobooks on Libby, but parental access to the Play Store means you can curate the functionality to meet your family's specific needs. We had already been using the earlier version for about a year--which had a more locked-down selection of apps--but the flexibility of the M4Pro is a game changer. My son loves this MP3 player, it has all the capabilities of a phone but without the call/messaging feature. It has parental controls, easy to set up, battery life is pretty good so far. Great affordable purchase for a boy that loves music. Read more
The media could not be loaded. This is the exact unicorn product that i have been searching for. I have two kids 5&7yo. They love music. They have been curating their spotify playlists for about a year now and love when i play their music in the car. But we only had our tv or mom & dads phones to play music at home. This meant we all had to agree on what to listen to and either the listener took the tv or one of our phones. Ive used other music devices designed for kids and they wouldnt stand up to their rough and tumble personalities. Plus i didnt want to be locked into buying access from the company. I didnt want to spent $200 on the top brand music player. But i wanted something they could stream music and access libby for autobooks without the screen addiction access to games and the internet of a tablet. This was everything i wanted and more. I can control exactly which apps they have access to. Because it isnt a tablet they dont know it could probably have games and youtube. It is linked to our google family account so they can see all the family photos and save the ones they like to look at offline. It has a ton of memory and is expandable with the sd card slot. It uses standard jack headphones and even came with a set. It also has speakers so they can listen together. But somehow with all of that it is small enough to fit in my 5yo's pants pocket! I cannot think of anything more id want from this product. Can i give it 10/5 stars? I would never have expected this product at the price point. Update- The seller reached out and offered a refund or replacement. We accepted a replacement device and it was received within 2 days. We appreciate a company that is willing to stand behind their product. Hopefully it was just a fluke incident and this one does better. This was purchased for my daughter for Christmas. The idea behind it is fantastic. Unfortunately not quite 2 months into having it, it no longer charges and got so hot on the charger it burned my daughter when she went to unplug it. This is a great MP3 player. My 11 year old LOVES it. They improved on several things with this newer version. Faster processing speeds, improved memory, better internal speakers, etc. Luoran is one of my favorite companies. They are very responsive and their customer service is TOP NOTCH!
