Let's start with the negative because it isn't ALL that bad. Really, my grievances are with the tumbler provided. For starters, it is not dishwasher safe so that is automatically an issue for me. With three people in the house doing dishes, I am forced to wash it immediately for fear that someone else is going to put the cup in the dishwasher. It also leaks really badly. The seal on the lid is terrible. You can't tilt the cup at all unless you want a shift full of coffee. Onto the good. This is the best 30 coffee maker I have ever bought! It is simple to use. It brews quickly and everything is really easy to clean. I like how small it is because it doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter. That means I can have both my full-pot coffee maker out for the weekends one when I want to lounge with a pot and this one out at the same time! It just tucks into the corner. The brews are the same strength whether they brew hot or cold. I personally feel the scoop suggestions are too big but that probably depends on the coffee you are using. I use the smaller scoop for my coffee because I use a really dark french roast. That seems to work perfectly for me. I would suggest you try the big scoop as instructions call for the first time, but experiment with your coffee. The big scoop is about what I use to brew a whole pot in my other maker. Pro tip number 2! Prep your coffee ahead. Load the water, load the beans, then put your tumbler (a better one that is dishwasher safe) in the freezer with ice and a little honey syrup. Then all you have to do in the morning is hit brew! Read more

Compared to my Keurig K-Supreme single serve machine, this Mr Coffee machine is: -Faster -Much quieter -Easier to operate -Much easier to clean -MUCH cheaper I’ve had Keurigs for nearly a decade. They’ve had to be replaced frequently because they fall apart pretty regularly, which is very frustrating. K cups are expensive and even reusable ones are kind of a hassle. I was looking for a coffee machine for my boyfriend’s apartment (he doesn’t drink coffee, what a monster). Figured I’d give this one a try so I didn’t have to shell out for yet another Keurig. So happy I did. This thing is super simple to get a cup of hot or iced coffee in just 1-2 minutes. I’m a fan of the tumbler (with water/ice measurements printed on the side), removable/washable filter and spout, coffee scoop/scoop storage. The one complaint that is valid is that if you’re using a short coffee cup, some coffee may splash outside of the cup- an easy fix for me was to use a taller cup or just put something underneath the cup so the brewed coffee doesn’t have so far to fall from the spout. That’s honestly my only gripe about this machine, and since it’s so easily fixable on my end I don’t even mind it. Admittedly I’ve been using this thing for iced coffee 99% of the time anyway. update: a year later and I own two of these (I’m addicted to coffee lol). Both are still working perfectly and I use them every day. I’m saving a lot of money using ground coffee instead of K cups, and I love adding Torani syrups to my iced coffee every morning. This thing is wonderful!! Read more

I have had great experiences with all of my Mr. Coffee products. This is Iced Coffee Maker no exception. At the time, I was the only one in the house that drank iced coffee. My husband emphatically stated that he was not a fan. After he saw how easy it was to make using this coffee maker, and then he got a glass to enjoy, he was hooked. Lol! It's easy to clean, easy to use, and there's no extraneous fuss. You just measure your coffee, fill the reservoir with water, fill your glass with ice and press one button. You can also make a regular single cup of hot coffee if you choose. The coffee is tasty and not bitter. It also helps to use a good quality coffee. Using better coffee grounds results in better tasting coffee. I brewed a single cup of hot brew and I noticed that, because the coffee maker is tall (to accommodate the tall glass that is included), coffee splatter can occur with lower profile cups and glasses. I use upside ramekins to raise my mug so there's less mess. I paid around $60 for this coffee maker and I haven't purchased any coffee at a coffeehouse since. Here's another Mr. Coffee product that I happily give five stars. Read more
