These knives are very sharp when recieved. Quality apears high but i just got them. Real damascus, not laser etched. Well balanced and beautiful knives. I have had Wustoff knives for 18 years and i would put these up against them any day. The only thing about them that is not yet proven is their durability but that will be proven over time and i think they will prove to be up to the challenge. The bamboo drawer block is an awesome idea! It protects the knives in a cabinet drawer and allows your counter tops to be clear of a big ol knife block! These knives, like the Wustoff's i had, require special cleaning and maintenance. Do not toss in the dishwasher!
