Perfect for "over the dish" grating
I grate only what I need for what is on my plate 95% of the time, so a small grater is essential. This one is perfect because: cheese falls where it should, cheese does not bury itself far into the grater, cleans easily by hand or in the dishwasher, and water does not get stuck under the plastic bits of the grater (that is disgusting and a frequent big fail of kitchen tools). This Mini Grip-EZ Grater has been a lifesaver. I have used it to grate cold butter for homemade biscuits and pies and to shred block cheese. The smaller grates did well to aid in zesting a lemon in a pinch, as I could not find my zester.
