Why so Blurry—December 26, 2025
Love the design, Good weight, about the same as a small screwdriver. The weight helps in not having to apply much pressure. Sliding mechanism is great doesn't slip on accident. Blades are decent each one lasted me about 2 full clean shaves before it started giving me close shaves. I brought other blades in a different brand, they lasted about the same, so I would rate the blades as average standard. Super easy to clean, and easy to store. The design is well built, the sheave doesn't pop out when it hits the floor. Have used it for about a month, and had no problems with the design, the blades are prone to dull so keep in mind, but Super easy to swap. The handle is easy to hold, and it doesn't slip when wet. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND TO BEGINNERS!!! But if you have experience with non-folding straight razors shoot for the moon. Absolutely love it. Read more

I have a folding straight edge from Parker. Had it for years. Never failed me. I have an issue with bending my right arm, so I figured I'd try a fixed handle. The folder, kept. Well, folding. Not a defect, just the nature of the handle. So I figured I'd give this a shot. Have to say, I like it a lot. Better reach. Was pleasantly surprised, about the weight of the shaver. I was guessing it was going to be flimsy or light. Feels really good in my hand. Enough weight where I feel it helps with shaving. I don't need to really add too much pressure. I feel like it was a worthy buy. I'm happy with it. Read more

For years, I relied on branded multi-blade razors, but after growing a beard, I struggled with uneven patches on my cheeks and neck. Electric shavers didn’t give me a close shave, so I decided to try a straight razor. There’s no denying it—using a straight razor takes practice. After my second attempt, I had some skin irritation, and I ended up watching YouTube tutorials to improve my technique. It’s not rocket science, but knowing the basics makes a big difference. Pros Cost-effective – The blade lasts multiple shaves. Close shave – Better than electric razors once you get the hang of it. Cons: Higher risk of cuts – More so than with disposable razors. Storage – A folding design might be safer and more convenient (this one comes with a cover, which I always use to avoid accidents). While it’s not a premium luxury razor, it’s solid for the price. Despite the initial challenges, I’ve been happy with the results and plan to keep using it. If you’re willing to put in the time to learn, I’d recommend giving it a try! Read more

I’ve grown accustomed to standard shavettes, in my shaving routine, and prefer longer tangs. Many of the kamisori style razors I’ve tried just have handles that are too short, for me, and don’t allow me the control that I want. This one does. This razor holds a standard double edged razor blade broken in half. I honestly didn’t think I’d like this razor as much as I do. You should try it out. Read more
