Great company and product

Daveβ€”May 15, 2017βœ“ Verified purchase

Great product. Bought these to help train our stubborn dog. Within 2 days we noticed a major difference in our dogs behavior and listening skills. We no longer have to leash her when we go outside. The product is very easy to use and comes with step by step instructions to make sure you are set up properly. Our dog has been in and out of her pool this week and we've had no issues with the collars. She has even completely submerged herself and they keep on working great. Two weeks into our training(before the pool), one of the collars stopped working completely. I contacted the seller and received an immediate response to which they sent me a replacement collar at no charge. Great product and even better customer service. I would highly recommend this collar. Read more

Definitely worth the price!

I have a 6 months old German Shepard and 2 years old Maltipoo. Putting it short, this one device solved 2 dogs problems! From one remote, you can control two dogs simultaneously, while having an option to send them commands individually (just by changing the collar that is being controlled from A to B). Rex is my German Shepard puppy and he is pretty smart. But all the time when i took him out he had to be on a leash, otherwise he would just get so excited and start jumping all over the places and trying to run away. After i purchased Petspy training collar, i first started using it inside the house. Rex looked very confused in the beginning when i was sending a sound or vibration and he hated the shock! I use the static shock as a "last resort" solution and it always fixes Rex's behavior. After just a few days of indoor training i took him and Zero (my Maltipoo :) out and the difference was huge! With Petspy Rex is becoming a well behaved puppy and I don't have to worry about Zero chewing on everything he founds on the ground! This dual training collar gave me a peace of mind knowing that my dogs are happy and save. Read more

Not thrilled.- edited- extremely angry

John Dillonβ€”May 12, 2018βœ“ Verified purchase

So they get a 3 star rating because I feel like there are some major improvements to be made if they are to be used as a training tool. What they really are is just a punishment. For that, they work well. But my 6 month old german shepard freaks even on the lowest setting of vibrate. I think the biggest improvement would be a way to adjust the vibrate and shock much much much lower than they are. I tried the shock on myself before i ever put it on my dog and decided I would never use it. Even on its lowest setting. Even for a 3 yrd old 60lb pitbull, thw lowest shock is waaaaaaay to much. They are built , and charge lasts about a week for us with daily use. But i I accidently shocked my dog when i meant to beep, and she screamed and peed right where she was standing. I doubt i will continue using them. Sort of dissapointed with them. Adjust where the buttons are to avoid accidental shocking, and lower adjustment settings and these would be perfect. Edit: i would give negative stars if i could. I am so angry I am going to call this company and complain. We have used the shock 2 times (on the lowest setting possible). And both times the dog screamed and got so freaked out it was useless. We used the collars for only beep and vibrate recently. We put the collars on for a few hours and take them off when the girls are in the house. My wife took the collar off of her after a few hours of wearing it and our 7 month old german shepard had an open wound on her neck. We noticed because she was bleeding.. we used the smallest contacts the kit came with and did not use the shock. Very angry. Do not buy this product. I was carefull and we only used these collars for training. Now i am out the 60 for the collars and whatever the vet is going to charge to treat this wound and bandage it up. Read more

Reliable equipment for the money

C. Phillipsβ€”February 15, 2019βœ“ Verified purchase

This is a decent product. I've had it for a year and a half. Both the collars and controller maintain their charge for days, much longer than I expected. I bought the two-collar set thinking I'd need to swap collars to recharge, but that has never been necessary. Range is somewhat less than advertised, but then we are in the woods, not an open field. It met my expectation. We have not had any equipment problems (other than the dog chewing on the antenna.) Set-up is a little awkward, but you don't have to do that very often. I use the lowest shock level and the highest vibrate and tone levels. I use the tone as a return command, the vibrate as a warning to comply, and the shock . . . I'm happy to report that I've only needed to go to the shock a handful of times in 1.5 years. The vibrate lets the dog know I'm serious, which is all part of training. We often put the collar on w/o turning it on when company comes over, which makes the dog much more responsive to vocal commands. When the dog is not rpt not on the collar, but running free, it is very responsive to a" come" command followed by the tone from the controller. If I don't have the controller, often times the "come" command is taken as a suggestion, not a directive. Two areas of improvement: First, and most importantly, the controller buttons are hair-trigger. They should be designed to have more resistance. When using the controller clip on a belt or putting the controller in a shirt pocket, brushing up against something easily triggers the collar, which is VERY bad for training purposes. As a result, you have to be very careful where the controller is. Second, the controller is not very durably constructed, as opposed to the collars, which are well made. When this equipment wears out, I will probably buy it again. I've already recommended it to friends. Read more
