Took 7 weeks for this to arrive, I suspect it was presold, none built until all orders in. I had been a user of Norelco shavers for decades, then I deviated from the path, first chinese knockoffs of the classic triple headed shavers, then some foil shavers. The knockoffs while having more features didn't shave as well. The foil shavers certainly shaved close . . . too close. The key to any triple head shaver is the cutters and combs. It would seem anybody could do that, but coming back to the inventor proved me wrong. It's not the digital displays, not wet or dry, not the angles, rather the steel alloy of the cutters and combs. This is where Norelco excels. The foil shavers were so noisy, excessive vibration, and dusty due to their reciprocating motion. Yes they shaved closer, but not as comfortable. By contrast, this rotary shaver is so quiet that the noise you will experience is the actual cutting of the stubble on your cheeks. So as to this model, no percent charge, just a flashing red light to charge, plenty of charge left to finish. Seems I'm getting 2-3 weeks between charges. Subtle feature, the on-off switch is located away from the natural grip, hence you won't accidentally switch off the shaver. Read more

Had this same style shaver years ago and replaced it with the same model. Reasonably priced, quality made, shaves well and has good battery life. The size is comfortable to use. Read more

I have been using a $170 Panasonic foil Arc 5 for 7 years. It’s very loud and the replacement heads and blades are very expensive. I was getting ready to take a trip and the Arc 5 died. The Norelco 2400 was on sale (for a fraction the price of a new Panasonic) and would be here the next day. I feel like a fool for having spent all that money on the Panasonic. Because this Norelco cuts every bit as close, is more comfortable, qieter, and quicker. It’s also MUCH easier to clean and maintain. The Norelco 2400 is a solid, well-made, piece of precision equipment. Honestly, if you want a great electric razor, that really performs, and not fork over a bundle, get this Norelco. Read more

This is very similar to a Norelco that lasted 30 years. Identical mechanicals. A tolerably close shave. A man with a very thick, dark beard might not find it a close enough shave. But for me, at $40, I'm impressed. Read more

The Philips Norelco Shaver 2300 is an okay option if you’re looking for a simple, entry-level electric shaver. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and the rotary heads move smoothly over the face. Battery life is decent for occasional use, and it charges reliably without issues. However, the shave itself is only average. It works best on light stubble, but struggles with thicker or longer hair and often requires multiple passes to get a reasonably close shave. Compared to higher-end models, it doesn’t feel as powerful and can miss hairs, especially around the jawline and neck. It’s also not ideal if you’re looking for a very close or clean shave. Build quality is acceptable for the price, but it feels more basic than premium. This is fine as a backup shaver, travel option, or for someone who shaves infrequently, but daily users may find it underwhelming. Overall, it’s functional and affordable, but performance limitations keep it from being a standout. Read more

This is a great razor to purchase! I bought it in the summer of 2023, and it is still running strong. It is easy to use, just plug and play. I have been using the razor every day for 3 years, and have not had to replace the blades yet, though that may be coming soon. Pretty comfortable to use too- the tri-head with rotating blades is very nice. The shave is very good and gets right up close to the skin. The only problem I have seen is the battery life. I run off the power cable all the time, so when I need to use it on the battery, it doesn't hold a charge very long. However, it has generally worked every time I need to use it on battery - as long as I know ahead of time and get it charged. Read more

I got this to replace an older foil shaver that was starting to fail, and overall I’ve been pleased with the performance. It does a good job and leaves my skin smooth with just a few passes. The shave itself is close, especially for the price and how easy it is to use. One thing I noticed is a slight shave burn on my neck after using it, so if you’re sensitive in that area you might want to be mindful of your technique or use a good shaving cream. The unit charges with a USB-style cable, which is convenient, but keep in mind that it does not include a charging brick — I had to use one I already had. For a solid, everyday replacement shaver that gets the job done and leaves skin smooth, this has been a good fit for me. If you’re looking for something gentle on very sensitive skin, just be aware of the minor irritation I experienced. Read more
