I very rarely review a product. I thought this one deserved a review and may help others make a decision also. For the past 25 years or so I have used foil shavers. Both Braun and Panasonic. Panasonic is my favorite by the way. I never tried a rotary shaver, because I was always under the impression that foil shavers provided a closer shave. I bought this one basically for travel and had planned to buy a replacement foil pack for my Panasonic arc 5. My first shave with the Phillips Norelco was beyond my expectations. The shaver is quite, provides a close shave, and is quicker then my foil shavers. 2 or 3 minutes top for a quality shave. My procedure is pretty straight forward. I use Lectric Shave pre shave lotion and a dry shave 6 days a week and then do a shave in the shower once a week to clean the razor. With this shaver I have been just running under the faucet to clean and then once a week I put it on the cleaning station. It just doesn't get any simpler. Wish instructions would have been included. would make use of cleaning system much easier. Also instruction might explain what symbols on the razor refer to. initial shaves were most pleasant. Instruction would insure safe use of all features offered by product. Read more

I am a total Norelco fan, have been using Norelco shavers for decades, only replacing them when the battery wears out. And as great as each model is, Norelco continually improves their products, more ergonomic, more comfortable, more efficient, more capable. This model shaves very closely, has both a pop up sideburn trimmer as well as a beard trimmer.
