This is the only cat litter mat that works. Put at entrance of cat box first put double sided tape on underside of mat and it stays in place and vacuum mat to clean litter out of holes in top layer of mat. Don't have to pick it up to clean. Room floor is litter free. Read more

I've been in need of a good litter mat as my 6 month old kitten often tracks litter all around her litter box and all over the house. She also manages to sometimes perfectly kick litter out of her mostly-enclosed box! This litter mat has been pretty good in preventing litter from being tracked everywhere. I did get the smallest size as the size up (30x24) would have been a bit too large for my area. I do wish there was more of an in-between size as the one I got is a pretty slim. However, to remedy this issue of size, I pushed the mat up against a wall and rotated her litter box towards the wall so that she's more inclined to land directly on the center of the mat. This has worked very well! In addition, cleaning the mat is quite easy. I typically just dump it directly into a large garbage bag, and nothing spills out onto the ground. This mat does trap litter very well. However, I had 2 major issues: the mat never laid fully flat after taking it out of the box. I did as directed and placed weighted objects on it, but the ends always curled. I could have dealt with that alone, but I have a senior cat with special needs who has occasional accidents around the litter box. I should have thought of this before I got the mat, because he missed the box and pooped on the mat. It was almost impossible to clean, and took over an hour with brushes, rags, and a spray hose to get the mess out of all the honeycomb structure and little holes. I gave it a second try, but when it came time to clean the mat again, I gave up. I think it is a decent product if your cats aren't going to get any sort of waste on the mat, but if you have a cat that does need some extra care in that area, I would recommend looking for other alternatives. These work fairly well. It catches most of the litter. My cats still track a fair bit of litter through the house but it works better than other mats/rugs I’ve used. Emptying the mats is problematic.
