Why did you pick this product vs others?: I am so pleased with this portable air conditioner unit. We live in desert and air conditioning is a need not a want. This portable air conditioner is perfect for my 6 and 7 year old nephews room. It keeps the room cold like a meat locker. You do need a nearby window to vent the a/c. It is convenient to move the air conditioner unit around with the attached wheels. The setup and installation was pretty straightforward. I have set up air conditioners before, so it was pretty easy to set this one up. There is also a remote control for the unit, which is so convenient. This air conditioner unit really has been a life-saver this summer. Read more

COLD! I installed this in my bedroom to help fight the hot Phoenix heat. Now I need blankets! Seriously though, bedroom is about 200 square feet, give or take, and this thing turns it into and icebox. Now, you do need an accessible window, which I have, and there is a little bit of setup, specifically involving the window, but just follow the instructions and you won't have a hard time at all. It's really easy to use once you get it setup, and for how well it works, totally worth the financial investment. 5/5, super happy with it. Read more

Not too impressed

Frustration Level 10—May 16, 2025

This unit is very loud. Imagine those wall units in cheap motel rooms - fan running loudly, then the whole unit starts up the coolant, and starts making an even louder vibrating noise - this is it. It took so long to start blowing cold air, I thought it was defective at first. Finally, it got going and blew cold air. Unfortunately, after 4 hours, the room was still the same temperature. It could probably work for a smaller room, but they advertised 350 sqft, and that's what I have. The window block does not fit my window well, and the duct keeps pulling it out. Also, the duct is not of great quality, so be careful with it. Read more

Puts out cold air!

As it often gets well into the 90s here in the high desert, even topping 100 some days, the need for AC is a must. Our bedroom can really heat up, and we don't have central air, so this is a good option for sleeping on the hottest nights. Fortunately, our bedroom has a window we can vent out, although we have to put the unit on some boards to allow the vent hose to reach, not a big deal. The operation is of average loudness when the compressor kicks in, but we both like white noise when we sleep so this is not a problem. It definitely puts out cold air, on a few 80 degree days we had to turn it off because we were cold, nice problem to have. Like the remote control for this reason too. Combined with a room air purifier, it keeps the air clean as well as cold. I will update this review when we get our 100-degree days. Read more

This is a great quality portable AC. It is fairly easy to assemble. The remote is very helpful. The air is quite strong and it gets cold quickly. However, it is quite loud. You can hear it from the other room. If that isn't an issue, I definitely recommend. Read more
