Set up yesterday & used this morning. PROs: Loving it so far. Admittedly, only time will tell if the space I have available for it will withstand the pressure, but it's not the product's fault that my walls aren't optimal. I tightened the bar as much as I was comfortable w/ & it's holding up great! The instructions suggest putting paper between the grip & the wall when you're mountimg it over paint, which I though was very thoughtful--no slipping Haven't tried any other pressure-fit bar like this, but I can't imagine getting away w/ setting one up on my softer walls w/out the secondary support bars to reduce the need for cranking the bar itself more tightly. Huge help w/ distributing the pressure & increasing the friction surface area. CON Not a huge fan of the locking screw caps being plastic. I don't think the parts the prevent the bar from rotating should be of such a relatively fragile material. Although maybe it's a very durable plastic? Time will tell, & I hope it will be. Also, the padded grip area of the bar, is a bit wider than my own shoulders. Not really a flaw, as it's absolutely necessary for maximaxing the places this bar can fit. However, I'd recommend measuring out the bars grip width to see if it's a good width for the exercises you want to do. CONCLUSION For me, it's perfect. I'm just looking to learn basic pull up form & strength in a small, calisthenics home gym. Product is solid so far. If I have any issues related to the product itself (and not my faulty placement of it, per the included instructions) I'll update this review. Read more
This is a great option if you have a historic home with door frames topped with deep crown moldings. The other door hang products are only 1-1.5" deep. You will trash your crown moldings if you try to use them. Other products also rely on cantilever and can leave indentions in the other parts of the wooden trim around the frame. This one produces flat direct pressure onto the inside of the door frame, with minimal to no damage. I am 5'7" and 180 lbs and it has held firm for me in my workouts. I appreciate the additional leverage supports on each side. It seems to really lock the bar in place. I have not yet tried the bands. Read more

It would probably work on concrete walls but it didn’t work anywhere in my actual house. I tried to put it up on the door frame and it wasn’t stable at all. I tried to put it up in between two sections of wall and even though I followed the instructions to a T. It still slipped when I tried to pull up on it. I went to tighten it more and almost broke off an entire section of wall. Even on studs it just starts cracking the wall around it. For reference I’m about 5’10 160 so I’m not a huge person. Overall don’t use it on door frames or house walls. But it’d probably work great against concrete walls. Read more

I have a lot of neck shoulder issues and found that hanging from a bar is great for releasing tension. I use it daily several times a day. I hope to get my mobility back so I can start doing pull-ups. I'm happy and wouldn't trade it for anything. Read more
