Needed a replacement antenna for the handheld radio after the original antenna was broken. No issues with range or transmission clarity. Nice clear sound transmitted. Read more
Honestly, this is a great antenna. It’s sturdy, and makes for clear transmission. The only issue I have is it shocks me all the time. I have it on a Motorola CP200d radio and I hold the radio upside down sometimes. When I key the radio and my finger is touching the yellow metal at the same time I get a nasty little shock. It’s not fun. But good antenna regardless. Read more

Don't waste your money on this. It has really poor performance especially in the 2m band (144-148MHz). I hooked it up to my NanoVNA just to see what was going on and the readings were way out of spec. The VSWR in the 2m band was so off the chart bad it didn't even register it just gave me the infinity symbol. In the 70cm band (420-450MHz) it at least registered VSWR of between 3.872 and 4.420. Just incase you are new to the hobby and don't understand what those VSWR numbers mean, the lower the better with a number 2 or lower being considered good. Read more
