The Rex Konsul is an excellent razor, hands down. The neutral blade feel makes shaving very smoothe while the adjustability and weight are the perfect combination. When paired with a blade that your skin can handle, the Konsul will provide an fantastic shave every time. I'm a daily shaver and gotta have the BBS. This is my third slant razor and my first adjustable slant. I am new to wetshaving, having used electric razors for 4 decades. I find that the slant razor has an efficient method of cutting hair, as it approaches the hair at an angle. This is similar to using a pointed spade, rather than a square shovel. This has 6 major settings and everything in between. This is a two piece razor. The tricky part is loading the blade inside the razor. I definitely recommend loading it when your hands and the razor are dry. The aggressiveness can be adjusted by the dial and the kind of blades you use. The stainless steel construction is solid, and the work is meticulously done. The handle is slick to the touch when wet, though, so you have to be careful. Using a slant razor requires more deliberate movements, shorter strokes and more experience in wet shaving, than other safety razors. This will work well for people with sensitive skin or coarse hair. It is one of the best safety razors made. Read more
Rex Supply hit it out of the park with this adjustable razor. Beautifully engineered and crafted, thus razor is extremely efficient, has mild blade feel, and gives a great shave. If you want really aggressive, open it up to a 6 and use a Perma-Sharp, Nacet, 7'oclock Black, BIC or Feather blade. For a more mild shave, close it down to a 2 and use a Wizamet or Rapira Platinum Luxe. Read more
