Rosewill Portable Air Conditioner 7000 BTU AC Fan Unit Dehumidifier 3-in-1 Cool Fan Dehumidify w Remote Control Quiet

I ordered this unit for my home office, where it gets very hot and stuffy because I have to keep the door closed and there are electronics running. I don't want to turn up the house's AC just to cool one room, so I ordered this, after a lot of back and forth research, worrying about which model would be best for me. It does the job beautifully. We live in Arizona, where the temperature was 111 yesterday. Last night our household AC broke down. Thank goodness I just happen to have this portable unit because it kept our bedroom nice and cool all night. We have at least one cool room while we wait for the repair person! Setup was super easy. I did it myself, a 62 year old woman. It's a bit heavy, but it's on wheels and has little handles on each side to help move it. The noise level is not too bad, pretty typical of a standard window unit. As I mentioned, I use it in my home office and I've asked people on the other side of my Zoom calls if they can hear it (I have my audio settings set to "High") and they do not hear it, even though I can. The vent hose that goes from the unit out the window isn't as long as I'd like it to be. I think it's about six feet long and that makes it a little difficult to put the unit in a convenient place, because of how my furniture is arranged, but I can make do. I waited on reviewing this until it had been put through it's paces. It was delivered on its side, which worried me. It sat for over a year stored, until yesterday, when I loaned it to my sister who's 3000 sq ft home AC went caput. They still had a loft room AC so were taking turns sleeping up there and had fans going all over the house Luckily they have tiled floors which stay cool for the pets. She came to get the unit yesterday for my brother in-law so he could sleep in their room comfortably. She said it was fairly easy, for a newbie, to install. They had to cut the extra piece a bit to make it fit, but she gives it 5 👍 as it cooled their 15x15 room with high ceilings enough so he could sleep. And it's light enough for a limited physical capabilities person such as myself to pick up and carry 20 ft. I would be VERY interested in trying the 12k. But maybe next year. Funds are tight right now. Anyway if you need a portable for a single room, get this. You may have to wrap the vent tube to limit heat output as I do with all of mine I've had, but it works well enough in 100+ degree heat. I haven’t had any leaking like I’ve seen everyone talking about. It actually works really well, it cools down my bedroom great on both the fan and AC modes. The sound is about as loud as if you had a fan full blast I would say. The only problem I’m having with the product is it makes my room feel really dry. Its so loud its un-usable, and i can sleep through most everything but with this ac i cant sleep one bit. Its just as loud as a vacuum cleaner that's on deep carpet suffocating for air. Being 5 feet away from the unit the sound gives me the worst headache when im a person who RARELY gets headaches. I tried to tell rosewill the issue, ghosted me after I explained what the issue is (btw it came with broken feet and kinda bashed up, looks used, finger prints on the display), its been 15 days since i reached out and told them the problem and no response. So i though no problem, let me contact amazon and NOPE they told me to ship the unit when i explained in their third party seller guarantee i should not be paying for the shipping which is roughly $120 through UPS!!! They said they would contact the seller and to give them a couple of days to get the prepaid label, and nope! AMAZON CLOSED the ticked and told me to just return it?!?! As in ship it back through ups, not a drop off at a khols or whole foods. Like tf? Asked again, they told me to wait three more business days for the seller and today is the third business day, contacted amazon and they basically told me to go kick rocks. Now im pissed, I told my bank to do a charge back and im getting a got damn prepaid label a month later or my bank refunding me. This is ridiculous, just go to home depot and buy a good LG portable ac that will last 5-10 years. I know its twice the price but this brand SUCKS. I tried saving money with this and this is some bs since amazon wont refund me since its a third party seller even WITHOUT TWO WEEKS OF COMMUNICATION FROM THE SELLER, the seller and company ghosted me and now amazon is giving me the run around. Ill update this once my bank gets back to me since i filed a charge back claim with them to get my money back. Edit: It was another two weeks of the "run around" and then for the 15th time? I explained the situation to an amazon representative, they just told me sorry and agreed asking my bank to do a charge back was the best solution because they cant do anything since its a third party seller. Soon after my bank did the charge back I magically got a prepaid shipping label within a business day or two, and a refund when they received the unit back, weeks later. The portable 7,000 btu lg unit I bought at home depot is still somewhat loud on high but no where near as loud as this one, once the room is cooled i turn the fan speed down and its bearable. On sleep or fan low setting its pretty darn quite. Sucks its double the price though. Read more

Bought this air conditioner to use in my 20ft rv it was hot the day I installed it think something like 83 degrees. It instantly got cold and started bringing the temperature down inside. Was a easy setup but I did have to do so hillbilly custom work to make the vent work in my rv window but that was expected.overall I am pleased with the purchase and it has done exactly what I expected it to do just keep in mind this is not made to cool a 5 bedroom house it is meant to cool a small room or in my case a small rv and it does a great job!
