I've had this keyboard for a little less than a week now and I can confidently say that it is like night and day compared to the $10 membrane one I was using before! My typing speed and accuracy has significantly improved in the short time I have been using it. This keyboard is a great choice at the price of just $75 at the time I purchased it. It feels very sturdy thanks to the aluminum back plate. The key caps are double injection, so they will literally never wear out! The LEDs have several modes and brightness levels. They are not RGB, but at this price, I really can't complain. The stencil-like font on the key caps is a bit difficult to read on a couple of them. I purchased the model with brown switches because I will be using this mostly for work for my college courses. Pros: - Very durable construction - High quality double injection key caps - LED Backlit - Cherry MX Keys - Price - Cable routing channel Cons: - Rosewill, would it kill you to include a $3 plastic key cap puller? - Cable is not braided (Probably because of the low price) - Cable is not detachable (Probable because of low price) - Secondary Function Keys are not back lit, so they are not visible in darker rooms - White stabilizers on the longer keys - Stencil-like font Read more

This solid keyboard is great, full numpad, genuine brown switches feel good. ***Addressing the other reviews complaining about the usb wire connection that breaks, my keyboard has a different (better) wire connector. It looks like they fixed that issue and are now shipping a slightly updated version. My only gripe (which I knew about in advance) is that it doesn't have designated media keys, instead I have use the function (Fn) key for play/pause and volume up/down. So consider that before buying if easy media control is important to you. For those of you curious about the differences between red and brown switches (this keyboard has brown switches), the red switches are softer and completely linear, whereas the brown switches are slightly stiffer and and have a gently tactile bump near the top of the keypress. It is not a distinct tactile bump, it is quite subtle. I personally like the red switches better simply because they're softer and the tactile bump doesn't enhance my experience. Read more

The package for the board itself came within a slightly larger package, and opened, which was concerning. I opened it to find it was untouched, and the packaging was all pristine, so I'm assuming it was either opened by the mailer or opened by Rosewill. The keyboard itself is phenomenal quality. Keys respond instantly, and everything is very responsive and durable. The base of the keyboard is made out of metal, not plastic, so you might want to purchase a wrist pad or something if you don't want you wrists to get cold. Gaming with this keyboard is great, and I've noticed my performance has improved in games that require lots of quick keyboard work, such as MMO's or shooters that use WASD. Overall, I'd give it a 4.5/5. The keyboard is absolutely perfect, but the fact that the box was unsealed, and the cold metal rest are minor concerns. Read more

I remember when Rosewill was founded and was focused around budget parts and accessories with so-so quality. There is nothing budget about this keyboard, I am thoroughly impressed. I'm coming from a wal-mart bought Logitech K120 so its a huge upgrade. The aluminum body makes it nice and stiff and gives it a nice weight. I'll have to get used to the angle and height of the keys. The cheap Logitech lays almost flat on a desk while this one is tilted a bit towards you even without the feet extended. One complaint is the way some of the keys are printed. Letters and numbers such as "B, 8, 9, 0 etc." are printed in a "stencil" fashion which when the backlight shines through makes some of the keys look a bit weird. Minor complaint and nothing I would send it back for. Photos included. Read more

While the material used to build the keyboard seems pretty solid, I was surprised to find that the "Esc" key did not work on my keyboard out of the box. I'm guessing it's probably a bad solder connection. What's worse is that upon trying to sign up for Rosewill's warranty through their website, I get an error message saying that the warranty sign-up is not available at this time. This is unacceptable for a brand new keyboard, and I will be returning it and finding something more reliable. Also note that this keyboard is pretty loud and you'll probably need to buy o-ring dampeners to make it tolerable. Read more

Pros: I sent it back Cons: Cost 8 bucks to send it back. keys are junk, complete wobbly trash. its a thin metal plate with keys attached. Why anyone one on earth would keep this keyboard is beyond me. Cant be the price cause you can get a 25 buck Redragon K502 keyboard that will work better for gaming or editing. Otherwise fork out the money for a Razor, Logitech, Roccat, Corsair, Cooler Master or even HyperX cause this Rosewill keyboard is worthless. Cherry MX doesn't matter if the rest of the keyboard isn't well made. If your buying this keyboard for Cherry MX Brown switches please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Read more
