Good machine. Must have for pets/kids/big kids. Does not replace professional cleaning.
Giving it a 5 because it does what it should do (for not being an industrial piece of equipment) and it is well designed. If you have children, pets and/or eat on your fabric sofa, this is a must have. It is really a spot cleaner. Does what it should: It sprays cleaner. It has 2 compartments. One for general, one for oxi. I put them both in and there is no way to choose one or the other besides not filling the container with the liquid. It sucks up dirt and liquid. Basically the cleaner soaks up the dirt and and then you vacuum it up. A scrubber attachement. One side is a bristle brush (do not use this on your wool carpet or you will spend a lot of time picking it out of the brush) and the other side is rubber. Great design. EASY to clean and compact. It comes with an attachement that covers the end of the nozzel so that pure cleaner flows through the tube. You can take a lot of it apart to rinse and clean items easily. It has a separte attachment for particularly icky messes that catches the mess so it doesn't go through the tubing. How I use this item. I have a bottle of clean water and spray the area first and try to clean as much as I can without the cleaning fluid. Then I use the fluid and then I spray again with the water and vacuum again. I also initially clean the tube at the end by putting the nozzel in a container of water and it really cleans most of it without wasting your cleaning fluid. If you have a particularly gross clean up project, definitely use the fluid. I read on reddit that different spills require different cleaners, so although good, not a one size fits all. For better suction, use the smallest nozzel. That said - This does not replace professional cleaning. This machine is not strong enough for a deep clean. If you have never cleaned your carpets, you may find that it brings dirt that you did not know existed to the surface making it look dirtier than when you started. If this is the case, I suggest vacuuming several times (like 30 plus passes while cleaning out your vacuum as necessary) before attempting to clean a rug. This is not for large areas. I cleaned a 3x5 door rug as my first attempt and it took quite a bit of time and effort. Read more
