My daughter has a version of this I used at her house. I was so impressed by how quickly it tackled all of the cat fur (long haired cat), and caught EVERYTHING in one to two passes. I purchased this shark stick vac because my Dyson was getting so heavy for me to push,especially when I did thicker area rugs. This performs well on the hardwood,the ceramic tile, and okay on the throw rugs. I switched to the attachment for hardwood floors and also used it on thick area rugs. I didn't care for the way the head was floppy, and on thick rugs I could only go one direction. On a thinner rug I was able to push back and forth. It's weight is better than my Dyson. And the cup is easy to dump. It seems to pick up things well, including all the hair and dirt tracked in by the dog. I would still recommend it. Although I really don't care for the one attachment. Bought this because we were tired of short run times of battery powered handhelds. Although the power head is a little hefty, the vast improvement in vacuum performance over Dyson and ease of emptying is worth it. The power cord exiting from much higher in the air while in use, means much less stepping and tripping on cord which is bane of conventional vacuums. Brush head is light and swivels easily, whole unit folds flat on floor to get under furniture others can't. I have a full size upright Shark that I purchased when I had a cat and dog in the house. It was great in picking up their hair and any kitty litter that might escape into the carpet. I have since moved an have only one room with carpet, and my animals are now outside. I knew this vacuum, being a Shark, had to be good. I was right! I love it being so light weight, the way it will lay flat to go under furniture, and it lives up to my previous experience with Shark. The only thing that would make it better would be if it could stand on its own. Read more

Works well for pet hair. Ive had it for over 6months and it is starting to decrease in suction but I probably need to clean it. Cord is really long and its not really that loud. Read more
