Well-built, solid, holds the tool firmly, and does exactly what it's made for. Note that it works best on classic-shaped wood chisels. I've also had good luck with most cold chisels, but some may be too big around for the clamp. Similar tools, like gasket scrapers, also may not fit, so do your research if you're hoping to use it on such things. Read more

The 400 & 1000 grit block gets the chisels VERY sharp. Set up was good and fairly easy. It took me a little tinkering to get the bevel angle perfect but once there it was very efficient! There are other products like this that may be better made, but for the price this was great! Read more
I've been using this a lot lately and it's been great. I'm not sure if the 1000 grit is actually that fine, but it definitely gets my chisels sharp. The base stays put, the plate is easy to flip, it's easy to clean and the chisel clamp roller guide works great on a variety of of my chisels even my curved dado one! The locking nut is large enough and has a rough enough texture it's easy to get it tight and to loosen with ease. The only thing I wonder is how deep the diamond dust is on the plate, but so far so good after about 150-200 passes on the 400 grit side and about 75 on the 1,000 side. Read more

After receiving the replacement set, everything showed up as advertised and seems to work well; however, the metal ring around the end of the handles of all the chisels, are loose just like the first set! Read more
