This product is great! I recently was informed by an Orthopedic PA, that I am more than likely suffering from Rotator Cuff Tendinitis and Shoulder Impingement. I looked into a shoulder ice wrap, that would be best suited to aid in the recovery, which I bought this one and another brand. I tried both and this one by far felt better quality. I try and do 2 sessions a day, one in morning and one at night, so generally the freeze time is great at least to cover both sessions. The retention of the ice/freeze is more than enough, lasting well over an hour. I take it off after 30-45 minutes anyway. The material of the wrap actually allows me to have bare skin under the wrap, compared to straight ice to skin, so easy to use at home or on the go. It’s very comfortable and have no complaints after a week of use. Extremely light, even frozen. The “ice” is a gel. Read more

Unit slides into a perfect fit place very easily, it feels very comfortable to . The actual sleeve is made of a cooling gel and there is a pouch to insert a thin gel cooling pack to intensify and extend the cooling relief. To properly rate the true chill factor, I would safely state that my core temperature runs higher and my body radiates excess heat. So for me, the icy chill temperature only lasted 20 minutes before it warmed up to tap water temperature. At 35 minutes, the temperature of the sleeve was exactly the same as ambient air. Read more

This is a really nice ice pack. I purchased it following rotator cuff surgery. I really enjoy the soft gel, which allow the pack to conform to the area around your shoulder. It also extends to cover the bicep, which helps if you also have a biceps tenedosis (which I did). It works much better than non-fitted ice packs that freeze stiffly to their own form. The only thing I would like is if the gel was colder. My physical therapist has a sleeve for arms/legs that is very cold, but this doesn't feel as cold and doesn't maintain the cold temperature for the 20-23 minute application I use. It is a good weight and is very easy to use, just slip your arm through the hole and drape it over your shoulder. The velcro strap is completely adjustable and allows a nice snug fit. There is an extra, more stiff ice pack that fits in a pocket on the outside, away from your shoulder. It does help keep the softer gel cool longer. It also appears sturdy. I've used it over 50 times and seems like new still. If it provided more cooling, I'd give it five stars. Pain relief is pretty good and it helps with muscle aches in addition to inflammation following surgery. It is worth the price to not have to deal with stiff ice packs or filling an ice pack with ice and water. Read more

Daughter is a softball pitcher and we put this in the ice chest for between games, and in the freezer for the day after. Rotator cuff issues aren't typically a factor for softball pitchers but we do this just to help with inflammation from extreme use. Read more

Fit is better than average, but cooling is unacceptable. Never got more than 15 minutes even with the booster back. Read more

This is great and fits my shoulder well. I'm a on the larger side, wearing 3xl-4xl shirts and it fits comfortably. The only reason I give 4 stars is it is heavy. I bought this to ice up my shoulder for a rotator cuff injury. This actually made the problem worse due to the weight of the pack. With that said, it's ok if I'm laying on my side and my the downward pressure is taken off of my shoulder, but it is something to be aware of - you won't want to use this while you're working or standing. On the plus side, it does stay cold for a significant period of time. It's definitely a keeper, but I'm not going to be able to ice up at my desk. Read more
