Smallrig is taking over as the go to brand for camera gear. I own a bunch of smaller products and they are all very well made. I shot 2 golf tournaments ENG style with these legs and getting in and out of the golf cart for 18 holes was easy and fast to set up. The one stage locks are fast to get the camera to the height you need. I put the manfrotto 502 head on and it’s the perfect setup for the price. Highly recommended these tripod legs. I like this tripod a lot. It is quick to adjust height and it gets tall. I would love if they made a version of the Tribex for this tripod. Unfortunately one of the legs became disengaged. I'm not really sure what happened, but there was a 'pop' while I was adjusting the height and one of the legs completely lost tension. I tried to chat with customer service, but it took a bad review to get them to replace the broken tripod. I would give 5 stars if customer service could have done earlier what a bad review had eventually accomplished. Read more

I've used this to photograph the 2024, eclipse and Andromeda. It is very stable. It is very easy to level using the leg length. You can remove the flat pads to transition to spikes by the push of a single button on each foot. It is easy to reatach the feet by pushing them on in the correct orientation. Read more
