I absolutely love the Smartwool Everyday Anchor Line Zero Cushion Crew socks! They are incredibly comfortable and perfect for all-day wear. The material feels soft and breathable, keeping my feet dry and odor-free, even after long hours. I also appreciate the durability—these socks hold up well wash after wash. The fit is spot on, and they don’t slip down or bunch up throughout the day. Whether I'm at work, hiking, or lounging at home, these socks are a great choice. Highly recommend for anyone looking for high-quality, versatile socks! Read more

I love these socks for wearing in dress shoes. Great every day sock, and thin enough that it won’t cause your feet to overheat or your shoes to be too tight. Can’t go wrong with Smartwool, as they make quality clothing. Read more

My foot is a size 10.5 and I got the large sized socks. I love the fit; they are close to the foot, but not overly tight. The thickness is perfect. I have been using socks from another company that wear like iron, but the padding under the foot is too thick, even though they are supposed to be thin. In my hiking boots my old socks made my boot too tight. These Smartwool socks are just the right amount of material ... some cushion under the foot and the socks don't bunch up and my toes aren't scrunched up because the socks are too thick. So far, I love them. I'll revise this writeup after I go on a couple of lengthy search and rescue missions and see how everything feels. Read more

Smartwool did two things to these socks that are terrible. 1. it changed the size of the sock by at least 20% to the small side. I have been wearing the Anchor Line no cushion sock, which, until now, was (IMHO), the best merino no cushion sock on the market. I wear a large. When I put on the newest version of the sock it was super-tight. I matched it up to the other Anchor Line socks I have it is at least 20% smaller in size. So, not only is the sock too tight based on the sizing, the size guide is off/wrong. Typical of a large company like VF Corp, which owns Smartwool, to make a change to juice more profit out of an item without informing the consumer, or, without considering how existing customers have come to expect and rely on a brand for consistency in quality, performance, and fit. This misses on the fit mark completely. Of course I can always 'size-up' now...but, that misses the point. I have come to expect consistency out of the brand. That leads me to point 2. 2. Smartwool used to put its cool little guy logo on the bottom of the sock on the foot. That was great. It now moved the logo to the back of the sock. It is a terrible placement for those of us that don't want anything to interfere with the solid look of the sock up top. Sometime I wear these socks with hiking boots or sneakers with shorts, and I don't want a logo on my sock...it totally detracts from the finished look of the sock. I ordered another pair with a nice design and the logo totally takes away from the design of the sock. Again, another misguided branding decision likely by a designer that thought it was cool branding but totally missed the mark on how consumers use the sock and probably more importantly, WHY the consumer likes the sock. Smartwool has totally degraded the Anchor Line of socks for the two reasons above, and I think, degraded the Smartwool branding by putting its logo so obtrusively on the top back part of all the socks. It was great when that little guy was on the sole. Maybe Smartwool hired the woman that blew up the Bud Light brand to do its marketing. Too bad, these socks used to be great. Read more
