I love these socks! I have these in grey, in fact, I have about ten pairs in grey. So when I bought brown boots, I knew what I needed. Smartwool are not cheap, but IMO they are worth it. These are great trouser socks - they keep your feet warm, are cushy but not too thick for all day city wear AND most importantly....they don't fall down! They wash up nicely and last and last! I wear a size 8.5-9 shoe and boot and wear the medium Smartwool sock. Buy them, you will not regret it. Read more

Love these socks! Warm in winter, cool in summer. They last for years and never slide down into your shoes. I have been wearing only Smartwool socks for at least 10 years. Well worth the cost for the amount of years worth of wear you get out of them. Read more

I have several pairs of this sock and love them. They are warm in the winter but wearable year round. They are no cushion so they are substantial enough to be good quality but not so thick to make shoes tight. Anything Smartwool has always been a good purchase for me. Read more

I have bought at least a dozen pair of these for myself and my child. They're very unassuming looking and they don't look fantastic straight out of the wash, but despite being thin they keep your feet warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather. They last forever. Cheap socks die in a year. These ones are still going strong at 5 years. If you're debating, just do it. I buy one pair of these socks about every season to add to our pile. Read more

Very disappointed with these. I have several pairs of the smooth-knit Smartwool crew socks, which fit flawlessly. But this cable-knit pair is rough, too loose, and slides down. Almost feels like a cheap knockoff, although it was delivered in Smartwool-branded packaging. I'll stick with the other styles. Read more

I hate socks with noticeable seams at the toe that rub your feet. These are very nicely sewn. Lightweight sock - maybe too much so. No cushioning as stated it description. I just don't get why they are so crazy expensive. But then, everything is I guess. Read more
