Long lasting, great cushion, not too hot even for summer hiking. Can wear several times without odor when multi-day hiking. Did the entire 120 miles of the Dingle Way in 8 days of hiking and never got a blister! I like this length better than the shorter sock because I feel these hold their shape better and won’t slip under your heel. Read more
Much better than expected.
I live in the northeast and needed socks to wear under my Uggs. For comparison purposes, I purchased 2 pairs of wool socks. One was this pair and the other was from a highly rated and very expensive company that gives to charity a free pair for every pair purchased. There was actually no comparison. These socks were thicker, warmer and fit better than the more expensive pair. For me, this was a great find. Read more

If you are hesitating purchasing these socks because of the price, don’t! I was gifted two pairs and had to get these! I forget I even own other socks! I go straight to the Smartwool ones! These are the best socks. I love Smartwool, and although I own several pairs, these are my favorites. Well cushioned, comfortable, and nice looking, the quality is obvious. These are expensive, but very definitely worth it. They hold up really well: I often hike 3 or 4 miles a day, and they last a long time. I've had some for over a year and they still look great.
