Could be better, but not bad. In most cases it's probably worth spending a little more for something better, but it fits my purposes perfectly. By that I mean it is perfect for an office setting, at a relatively low volume. There is no startup/shutdown sound, other than a voice saying "Bluetooth connected" at whatever volume you have the speaker set to. It's at louder volumes when the shortcomings start showing themselves. Bass is there but leaves somewhat to be desired. No issue with battery life or connectivity. My only other complaint is the lack of wired connection functionality (non-existent) but I knew that when I bought it. In short, it could be better sounding at loud volumes but for the price is great for indoor use at moderate volumes Read more
