We recently moved into a new home and the garage has one bulb. Impossible to work like that. I got this three pack to fix the problem! I have not got on the ladder to convert the bulb to a plug socket and mount the lights. I'm only using one mounted on a shelf temporarily but even the one turns the garage into daylight! If you already have a plug where you are locating these, the installation is very simple. You might need to install a hook on the ceiling to hang it from and then just plug in to your outlet (controlled by a light switch). Great quality product - very well built. Read more

For use as a shop light in the garage, these are simply the best built and brightest lights I've ever used. Installation is simple, there's a big hook on the top of the light, connect to any chain or ceiling hook, then plug the light into a standard socket. These specific lights turn on once plugged in, you don't wire them into the house to work from a switch, so be aware of that. One of these lights over my laundry area is honestly way more than I need in that area, but I'll use two of these to illuminate the car work area. And I've affixed one of these lights to a tripod to act as a portable shop light. It's great. The build quality of these lights is fantastic. The metal frame is solid, and it holds the electronics and glass lens very securely. The hook is a heavy-duty metal ring that screws in nicely, and then has a lock screw to secure it. The color temperature appears spot on, with that slight yellow tinge expected of a 3050K light. The frame does a good job of dissipating heat. I can feel a relative balance of heat throughout the whole frame. There's no question that these lights generate some heat, I'll be sure to keep them in big rooms with ventilation. Commercial lighting is an important business, and I think these lights are exactly what I'd want if I was building a warehouse. I think they are a valuable purchase. Read more

First I LOVE UFO lights! They are the most unique energy efficient lights with the maximum lumens you can get! Sunco makes excellent solid units and that's no sales pitch it's the truth. I use them in my Garage, Shop, WoodWorking Shop and Lab. MUCH better than the old LED 8 ft bar lights (though those still have a place in the industry). :D These UFO LED High Bay Lights are the real MVPs of my shop upgrade. Each fixture pumps out a whopping 19500 lumens, which basically turned my dim cave into a well-lit spaceship hangar. The 3050K neutral white light is easy on the eyes, not too harsh, not too yellow, just right for working long hours without feeling like you're in an interrogation room. Build quality is solid, with a shatterproof shell and IP65 waterproof rating that laughs in the face of dust and moisture. Installation was smoother than my last installation light fixture adventure. The plug & play setup is exactly what it claims to be, and the included power cords saved me from rummaging through my junk drawer. Mounting them was straightforward, although if you’re vertically challenged or allergic to ladders, you might want a buddy to help out. Once up, they stay put and waiting quietly like they’re plotting to light up the moon. Design-wise, they’re not winning any fashion awards, but they’ve got that rugged UFO charm that fits right into a shop or industrial space. Light dispersion is wide and even, no weird shadows or hot spots. My only nitpick is that the color temperature feels just a tad warmer than expected, but it’s still a huge step up from the flickering fluorescents I used to have. I didn't think I could wax poetic about shop lighting, but I'd make an exception for these UFO lights. We don't have enough light in our garage, so I ordered these in jokes that they could help us deal with that light deficiency. I love the fact that these are plug-and-play. It made it super easy to install one in the center of the garage on the same outlet as the garage door opener. The heavy-duty cord is long enough to reach the outlet with plenty left over. I plugged it into a remote-operated outlet, as that ceiling outlet isn't on a switch. It works perfectly! The light itself is built very well, with a rugged outer casing and high quality, bright LEDs. It illuminates covers is the room that haven't ever seen much light. The color is a nice, natural daylight - so much easier on the eyes than cold white. I haven't hung the other two (did I mention they come with their own screw-in eye hook for the top?), but if they perform as well as this one, I'm probably going to be investing in then for my studio space.
