The picture quality is really great on this webcam. I bought it because my old 1080p one was failing and wanted a 4K camera and so far this one doesn't disappoint. It works perfectly with Windows hello which I love - it negates having to use a password or pin and makes logging into Windows so much more effortless. Installation was very easy - just plug it in and it downloads the drivers and you're good to go. I've had no compatibility issues so far! I’ve reviewed several webcams recently, and this one is easily the most pricey— but it also has the most features that all work very well! Its not just about the 4K resolution but what it can do. The image is noticeably sharper and cleaner in low light, and the autofocus and AI framing actually keep you centered without constant adjustment. Also it has auto zoom capability which makes for more dynamic interesting videos. A good example would be recording a performance or a conference where people are moving around. The built-in noise-reducing mics and speaker mean you don’t need extra gear cluttering your desk and since it has its own speakers it can be used outside more easily. For basic video calls, cheaper cameras work. However if you’re presenting, streaming, or running meetings professionally, this feels more like a conferencing system than a simple webcam — and that’s why it costs a little more than regular and less feature rich web cams. This is a simple, 4K webcam. It has a nice, clear picture, and is compatible with every device I've tried it with. There are no drivers or software to install, setup was literally just plugging it into a USB port. The physical lens cover is a welcome feature for the more privacy conscious out there. Camera is crisp and clear, I dont think its truly 4k but is being upscaled, but that is not a issue. Was easy to setup and get going, windows hello was a snap to setup. There are enough features for a basic webcam, no added software just plug and play. Love the privacy slide on the camera. It functions fine and does what it should. I think it needs to be at a lower price, there are better webcams at this price point. If it was price a bit lower it would be well worth it. The facial recognition does work great and the auto focus is a bit slow but does a descent job. Audio is fairly crisp, no complaints there. Overall it is a good webcam but needs a better price point.
