I've had a few tabletop/handheld tripods to use for iPhone and action camera content, and they've worked just fine. However, they're usually plastic, extremely lightweight (in a bad way) and flimsy. Not the case with this guy. This thing is a HOSS. It's got serious heft, but it's by no means heavy. Feels great in your hands, rubberized grips along the tripod legs make for great handheld stability. And it's a mostly metal construction. That said, I can use this tripod with my FX30 without an issue. It is stable and I'm not worried about it falling over if the surface is bumped or something. The F38 quick release base is a real star. If you've never used this system, you're missing out. This works so well. I've got plates on all my gear. Well worth the purchase! The MT-46 is by far the sturdiest, sleekest, most portable and best designed tripod/selfie stick on the market. It is the PERFECT mini tripod and made of hefty metal. I went to the biggest camera store in NYC to check the other tripod options and they all paled in comparison to this one and were 2-3x more expensive as well. Read more

This product is, in principle, very good. It’s very convenient to use and has the versatility of being used both as a small camera tripod to place on surfaces and for vlogging handheld. The problem — my main problem — is that after about six months of use, when the tripod is extended to its full height it no longer holds its strength, and little by little it starts to lower; there is no way to tighten it or adjust it to prevent this. So now each time I set it up and extend it, I have the issue of it gradually lowering. Read more
