A relatively inexpensive travel size tripod for DSLR cameras. Bought and returned a cheaper one before this one: the main issue was, the cranking center column was shaky after extended. This Ulanzi has a 3-point star manual pull up center column: very stable after extended all the way up. For me, this is a good replacement for my Vivitar, an old style non ballhead tripod that I just broke one of the knobs. Overall, this Ulanzi has a nice finish touch. Almost perfect but I subtracted 1 star for a combination of: thin horizontal metal arms for supporting the 3 legs; after pulling the center column up for about only 3 inches, it will go outside of the center horizontal support bracket; you cannot take out the center column and use it as a short monopod; the center column does not have a weight hook. All these are not my main concerns, so I only knock out 1 star. Read more
Me gustó mucho, está construido con materiales de excelente calidad Read more

I picked up this Ulanzi TT39 travel tripod for some lightweight camera work and vlogging on the road, and it has turned out to be a reliable companion for smaller setups like DSLRs, phones, or even attaching lights and a small telescope. At just over two pounds and folding down to about seventeen inches, it slips easily into a backpack without adding much bulk, which makes it ideal for outdoor shoots or quick setups during travel. The aluminum alloy construction gives it a sturdy feel, and it can handle up to around eighteen pounds, so I never worry about it tipping over with my gear attached. What stands out is the fluid head that allows smooth panning and tilting, with a full three hundred sixty degree rotation and adjustments from plus ninety to minus eighty degrees, perfect for capturing panoramic views or vertical shots without fuss. The leg locks flip quickly for easy extension up to sixty one inches, and the anti slip grips keep everything stable on uneven ground. The plastic head and clamps might raise an eyebrow at first, but they are thick and well built, holding up nicely even under regular use. I appreciate the built in phone clip with a cold shoe mount for extras like mics, and the Arca compatible quick release plate, though I did swap it out for a metal one to better suit my workflow. Overall, this tripod strikes a great balance between portability and functionality at a price that feels like a steal. It is versatile enough for vlogging, studio work, or livestreaming, and while it is not meant for heavy professional rigs, it excels at what it is designed for. If you are looking for something compact yet capable, this one delivers without overcomplicating things. Read more

This tripod earns a spot in my lineup as the one I will use for reviews. It is lightweight, folds down nicely, and has some good touches like the flip leg locks that match my other tripods. The head gives you a somewhat fluid feel, and for a phone or small camera it is stable enough. The issues start when you put heavier gear on it. I tested it with my Canon 1DX paired with a 70–200mm lens, about 7.9 pounds total. The head wobbled and groaned under that weight, and the rectangular legs bent slightly. The center column is thin and once extended it adds even more instability. The product page says it can hold 17.6 pounds, but there is no way I would trust that. I would never risk my 1DX and 400mm lens on this tripod. The head is plastic, the Arca mount is a loose imitation of a real Arca plate, and the design just does not match the claims. The product info and marketing need to state this clearly, because it is not up to the task. Another problem is the marketing itself. It says there is a detachable ball head, but I don’t see one. It also advertises DSLR use, but depending on the body and lens that could be a bad idea. It may technically hold the weight, but not safely, and that is the difference that matters. For me this is the right tool for the right job only when the job is light gear, phones, or accessories. As a true travel tripod it works if you know its limits. As a stable platform for heavier professional cameras it simply is not up to the task, and the marketing and product info needs to state this. I’m giving it three stars because of the misleading claims, but it will still get used for my lighter setups. Read more

This tripod is a great balance of convenience, portability, and solid performance. It’s very easy to set up right out of the bag—just unfold, lock, and adjust. The lightweight design makes it perfect for travel, outdoor adventures, or casual photography sessions. It’s compact enough to fit easily in a backpack yet extends tall enough for most shooting needs. The tripod feels sturdy and stable on flat or hard surfaces, and the adjustable head allows for smooth tilting and panning. It works well with both phones and cameras, giving flexibility for different types of shoots like vlogging, live streaming, or taking steady photos. One thing to note is that it may not feel as stable on soft or uneven ground, such as sand, especially when using a heavier camera. Still, for everyday use, it’s reliable and easy to handle. Overall, this tripod offers great value for the price—lightweight, simple, and practical for anyone who enjoys photography or travel. Read more

This tripod punches way above its weight class. The telescoping legs lock firmly, the build feels sturdy without being bulky, and the fluid head is the real star—it gives you beautifully smooth pans and tilts whether you’re filming with a DSLR or just your phone. Setup is quick, portability is excellent, and it’s stable even on uneven ground. A fantastic everyday tripod for creators who don’t want to haul around a heavy studio rig. Pros: • Smooth, surprisingly professional fluid head • Lightweight yet solid and stable • Works with both phones and DSLRs Cons: • Not ideal for extremely heavy camera rigs Read more
