Solid and intuitive to use
This review is for VRIG X5 Tripod Stand with Magnetic Quick Release Adapter, Mini Selfie Stick Extension Rod Handle Grip Monopod with 360° Ball Head for Insta360 X5/X4 Air/Ace Pro2/Ace Pro/Ace, reviewed December 2025. Pros: - Quick release works well (pinch to release) - Excellent flexibility in positioning at pretty much any angle - Telescoping selfie stick is solid, with the Bluetooth button conveniently placed - Tripod is easy to set up Cons: - Not USB-C rechargeable. To replace the battery, remove the remote from the tripod, turn it over and use a micro-phillips screwdriver to open the case. - There are no instructions regarding the battery in the manual, so write it down or get a photo before discarding the old one, so you get the right replacement - The micro-phillips screwdriver that you will need is not included. I have one from an eyeglass repair kit that is the right size; if you have one, then you could try that Universal design: This tripod stand and selfie stick can be worked with the use of one limb. It is easiest with the selfie stick; the tripod will take some sorting out and pushing against something else to work it. It's probably best to do that before you have your camera in place. When you release the camera, be sure it has a soft landing, as it is hard to both pinch and catch with one hand. With practice, this can be used by those with visual impairment. It is easy to feel the power button and shutter, and once familiar with the quick release and the lever adjustment, etc., working those is likely to be feasible. The manual has an extremely tiny font and is not easily readable with an app, so it may be a good idea to have a helper who is excellent at communicating when first learning about this device. There is no essential reliance on auditory feedback, so this is suitable for those with hearing impairment. Summary: So far, so good! I am pleased with this selection, and recommend it. Thus far I have used it indoors as we are having wicked winter weather outside; if I have further info to contribute once I can take this outside, then I will update.
