Finally, a cheese grater that will be slicing fromage long after I've turned to dust..
I wanted a high quality grater that isn't flimsy and doesn't contain any plastic parts... this product exceeded my expectations. The steel grater is well designed, thick and sturdy. The hardwood platform and handle are beautiful. I keep mine on a shelf because it is quite nice to look at. You won't want to put this in the dishwasher, but I found the higher quality steel very easy to clean even after forgetting to clean the cheese off for a night (I recommend a thin, long, and firm cleaning brush that you would normally use on glassware because the grater is VERY sharp and you don't want your soapy hands anywhere near it).
