I did not receive any manual or the water drain hose. Just the AC and one end for hooking up a hose. Didn’t even get the long screw needed to put the exhaust piece on the air conditioner. I bought this unit to cool my son’s room for those mid day naps and it does a decent job. My home was built in 1978 so insulation is not as good as new houses, I live in Colorado Springs so we average a dry 86°F ish in the summer, and his room is 12ft x 12ft so a bit bigger than the unit is rated for and with this unit, his room doesn’t go above 75°F very often except for the one or two 95°F+ days we’ve had this year and it only hit 77°F in his room those day. His room does have a south facing wall and is on the top floor so that doesn’t help either but I’m still happy with its performance. It is running non-stop to maintain those temps but it is pretty quiet so that’s not a problem. My main motivation for this unit over others was its power draw. It states 400W but in use I have observed 350W most often. Other units of this BTU class usually draw twice that and perform marginally better but with 2 rooms on a 15A circuit, I wanted lower power draw than what the other units use. Please keep in mind that this use case is not its intended so it didn’t not come with a window insert and you will have to make your own. The included tubes are on the cheeper side and don’t collapse well after being extended. My unit is also in °C and I haven’t found a way to change it to °F. Unable to cool the back of a small van, intake outside, exhaust outside, still unable to cool a 6 x 10‘ area down even a degree. Outside temperature 85 after an hour inside temperature 85 parked in the shade. Had to go by 6 inch duct hose because none was included. All around very unimpressed and disappointed will be returning. Read more
