As a perimenopausal woman, my social media feeds are filled with women wearing these weighted vests. These are supposed to help with bone and muscle health. The thing is ... I never realized until I got one myself that all the women I saw using them online were THIN. I didn't think about what it would do to an overweight woman to add another 10 pounds to her already overworked body. Within about an hour of wearing the vest my left knee had acquired a new grinding sound that didn't seem like it would behoove me, so I stopped wearing the vest. As far as the vest itself, it's very well made, easy to wear, attached nicely and has no weird smell. It's not overly bulky, but it is a 10 pound vest, so it's going to have some bulk. I'm very impressed with the quality of this vest. It's quite comfortable to wear, with good padding in the shoulders, and the material seems very breathable. The adjustable straps allow for good customization of sizing as well. At 5' 4" and 116 lbs, sometimes items are too big, even if they claim to be adjustable, but this vest really was able to be adjusted to fit me comfortably and not bounce around too much when I'm moving. The reflective stripes are excellent quality as well. Highly reflective, which I really appreciate. The buckles for the adjustable straps are excellent quality, and I appreciate the sliding fabric "ring" to keep the adjustable strap flat and secured so the end is not flapping around. I ordered the 10 lb vest, and the weight is plenty for me. Working out with this will definitely add extra resistance and weight bearing. However, I may not get the chance to try because my autistic young adult kiddo promptly stole this from me, discovering that it is superb for their sensory needs. This is a very comfortable weighted vest. I have the 10lb version and its well balanced across the back and front. It feels like good quality and will last awhile despite regular use. The fit is a little awkward as the two straps in front are in fixed locations, they can't move so the cross-straps don't sit exactly where I'd like them to but they also aren't a bother. The vest has sufficient areas that stretch so I do think it'll work well for different body types and sizes. Read more
Made with good material. It does weigh 10 pounds. My daughter uses it when she goes walking or hiking. So far it’s doing her well she says it fits her perfectly and she can even take it off and let her friends or even her boyfriend use it. The only downside is you cannot adjust the weight on this because it’s like steel beads probably in there kind of feels like sand, but I’m assuming it’s steel beads. Since my daughter’s been using it and her friends and boyfriend for the price, it was a good deal time will tell us the years go by how well this still works. Read more

Weighed in at 9.85lbs on my scale. Comfortable to wear. The straps are very long and easy to adjust. At the smallest setting, this is still a little baggy on my small frame. After losing 50lbs over the past year, I thought it would be easy to carry an extra 10lbs. I was wrong. Just wearing this around the house while cleaning I felt like I got a decent workout. I do wish it got a little tighter so I could wear this during my workouts, but it is too loose. There is some stretch on this so this would definitely be better for a bigger build. Read more
