Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased these as a gift for my mom since my husband and I gave a similar but older set. It looks like they have make a couple of nice design tweaks to the santoku knife. Great set since it has every nice you need without being redundant. I expect that she will get to enjoy hers for at least as long as we have enjoyed ours. Definitely an every day use item worth the investment. We hand wash ours and don't keep them laying around in a wet sink and they have held up really well. If you’re on the fence, go for it. You don’t realize how great it is to have a nice knife set until you have one. Game changer! Read more
The ease these knives bring to cooking chores is really a pleasure. I treated myself to a carving knife a while back and was blown away by how much easier it was to deal with a roast turkey. I wanted a set for years but since they expensive, I convinced myself I could just keep my cheaper knives sharp and that would be fine. IT really was not so I broke down and got these and am happy I did. The block is also great quality and these are just the right size for my counter. Read more

We needed a knife set for our weekend apartment. Did not need a set with 783 different knives. This one fit the bill perfectly in that it has all the knife essentials, it’s attractive and it’s Wusthof, which is a brand that I know and trust. It looks so pretty that my kitchen knife set in my house has knife envy. The block is very attractive and it doesn’t take up too much counter space, which is especially important when space is at a premium. Read more
