The price of the Asurion protection plan was worth every dime. Four months after purchasing a product, it stop charging with it's solar panel. I sent in a repair request through Asurion and within a day they responded with a complete refund. They said that the product could not be repaired and immediately sent an Amazon gift card to cover the entire cost. I didn't even need to send the product in for inspection. I just got off the phone with a "supervisor" after already having called in once prior to going to the supervisor being put on hold and then hung up on. I'm telling you right now this warranty company is a joke, do not purchase this warranty unless you want an absolute headache dealing with these people. Putting the claim in was smooth but that's where my problem started, that representative told me after I packaged and had my product over at UPS and scanned within 24 to 48 hours I would be receiving an ecard reimbursement through email. I called in today and said I want to verify that You got the notification that the label has been scanned the product has been received at the UPS store. The first representative that hung up on me told me it takes 6 to 10 days for it to get to their facility at which point they will inspect it and then I still have to wait for the reimbursement. I told him no that's not what the first representative told me he told me after that label was scanned your company would receive the notification That it was being shipped back to you at which point I would receive the reimbursement through email within 24 to 48 hours. He just kept denying that that is how they do it and said it's going to take 6 to 10 days then that's when he put me on hold for about 5 minutes before hanging up on me. I called back in I asked to speak with a supervisor right away and he just began lying to me left and right and I called him in it and when I called him in it he had nothing to say. He would just start to read from his script that they're taught. He told me The 6 to 10-day thing first at the other guy told me, then later on the conversation he tried to tell me that he's going to contact the third party seller I said what does this have to do with the third party seller that I bought it from on Amazon? First he tried telling me that the label that asurion gave me was not a label that goes to their company and if I would like to please send a screenshot of it over to them I said I don't need to I'll tell you the address that is on there right now which the first line said asurion, now this is where he tried to change up his story. He then said it comes to them they inspect it they send it back to the seller that I bought it off of from Amazon that seller sends the product that is new to them and then they will ship that product to me, at this point I said wait a minute your story just completely changed It went from the first representative when I filed the claim 24 to 48 hours to receive the reimbursement through email, the next guy and you both said 6 to 10 days to get to you to inspect it before you reimburse me and now you're trying to tell me that there's not even a reimbursement there's a product exchange and you're the middleman who has to send it back to that guy I could do that to get it a lot quicker without dealing with you. He basically just ended it by saying he can contact the third party seller and me saying I don't understand what any of this has to do with the third party seller The warranty is with you They shouldn't even be included in here if you're the ones claiming that you're going to cover the product nothing is going to him it's going to you. I said am I receiving the reimbursement or am I receiving a replacement product product at which point he said you'll receive the reimbursement after they contact The seller on Amazon for whatever reason he was claiming that they have to get in contact with that person. As far as I'm concerned when you purchase a warranty you deal with the warranty company You no longer deal with the person you purchased it from That's the point of a warranty It's for the warranty company to take your money in case something happens to it You're covered through them It's a protection plan no way affiliated with the seller or company that sold you the product. Once I get my reimbursement I'm getting reimbursed for the cost of this warranty because this is a horrible company to deal with. When you can get a straight answer and you're being lied to that is not a company anybody should want to deal with. Read more
