I don't always get these for my products but every once in awhile I feel that I should it's basically peace of mind for the amount of time that you get haven't really used them that often but they do work. It's nice knowing that no matter what you're going to have 3 years of this device without having to trash it if it dies after it's warranty. It's to each his own I really don't use them most of the time but give me a lot of Peace of Mind to making that it's there if I need it especially on new technology purchases that don't really have any history in the market always a good idea. Recommended for cell phones, smart watches, smart vacuums, basically anything that's a smart device because they can have issues and getting one for 3 years without any issues would be nice. Larger purchases printers computers fancy stuff. It's good to know that it's going to be covered I would recommend this 100% but personally I don't buy it all the time if the device is 40 bucks I don't really see a sense in that but that's just me. Definitely worth the money if you use it by far. Calling them and getting it covered is not that bad the protection covers just about everything enjoying the customer service was not bad in my couple experiences I was quite happy with them in fact. No shipping electronic delivery so immediate obviously can't be damaged five star recommended for me. Read more
Awesome service!!! Quick and easy return. As soon as I mailed the product back I received a gift card with the same value of the item returned. Read more
My only complaint is that I was sent a shipping label to print rather than a qr code to return the product to Asurion and I don't have a printer anymore and most people don't either. I chatted with a woman from asurion about how I could avoid this in advance of return shipment and she told me to have them scan the qr code on the emailed label they sent me but that was incorrect and did not work, the ups store lady said. I dont have a printer either so the ups store charged me nearly $5 to print it for me. You need to send(email) QR codes instead of printable labels so ups store can scan that instead of paying to print. Other than that the extended warranty service was great. Read more
I think it's important to know that the 3 year coverage is above and beyond the manufacturer's warranty. The price is great. Read more
I frequently purchase protection coverage on electronics. I purchased the Asurion 3 year extended protection coverage for a outside security camera. Unfortunately after nearly 2 and a half years of working perfectly fine, one day the camera's lens "fogged" and was not able to provide a visual. I completed the online Asurion claim form describing the above and within minutes, the claim was approved. The only other thing required from me was to send (via prepaid UPS) the broken camera. Within hours of the UPS drop-off, I had the claim amount deposited to my Amazon account as a credit. Immediate purchased a replacement camera and yes, Asurion product protection on the new camera. In today's world, it seems nothing is easy but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to navigate the process.... Very satisfied. Read more
I bought two electronics in the same order—one for $199 and a Bluetooth speaker for $62.99. At checkout Amazon suggested the Asurion protection plan that clearly stated it was for items priced $60–$69.99, so I added it for the speaker. When the speaker failed less than a year later, I filed a claim and was told I had no coverage on that item—the warranty had been attached to the $199 product instead. Because the plan’s price band doesn’t even cover $199-plus items, this made no sense. After several calls and providing the original order details, Asurion finally transferred the protection to the correct item and honored the claim. I’m glad they fixed the mistake, but the process was stressful and time-consuming. Tip: if you’re adding a warranty, check that it links to the right product before you place the order—or buy the warrantied item in a separate transaction. Pros • Ultimately honored the claim • Customer service agents were able to understand the delimma and transfer the protection to the correct item Cons • Warranty linked to the wrong item automatically • Required multiple calls and documentation to correct • Created unnecessary worry about being left without coverage Overall, the protection plan works once everything is in place, but the ordering glitch cost two stars.
