This is the first time I needed to put in a claim for a large purchase I made on Amazon in 2024. I purchased the Asurion Protection Plan and am SO glad that I did! The item I purchased malfunctioned BADLY this past January (2026). I contacted Asurion's on line customer service and was helped by a very nice person. It took about a week before I had a FULL REFUND in my Amazon account. The process was relatively easy, and the end results were exactly what I was hoping for. I have bought many protection plans. This time, they have not emailed it to me. I’m used to pretty immediate email delivery. I messaged them saying it wasn’t received and they said it would be delivered by email when the appliance I bought was delivered. After receiving the appliance, still no protection plan. I contacted them again. They sent it to me via Amazon messaging. I asked for them to deliver to my email as promised in the purchase. I still don’t have it. I don’t understand what the issue/problem is. I had purchased another plan about a month prior…immediate delivery into my email. We don’t usually purchase extended warranties, but we did after buying an air fryer / oven and we’re so glad we did. About a year and a half after making the purchase, the air fryer / oven began to function incorrectly. I went to the Asurion website to begin the claim process. I figured it would be painful … requiring videos, several emails and phone calls, and etc. But no … I simply completed the claim form and Asurion sent me a prepaid UPS shipping label to send the item back. Within a few days of the initial claim filing, we were refunded our purchase price. In a crazy, busy world, I welcome simplicity when it happens. This process couldn’t have been any easier or painless. We were so impressed that after purchasing a different brand of air fryer / convection oven, we also purchased another Asurion extended warranty … except this time we purchased a 4-year warranty rather than a 3-year warranty.
