I hesitated filing a claim, but once I found my item order number for the tracker that was no longer working, it was fairly quick and easy to do a return. I was told to pack up the item (luckily I had a small enough box as that would have been the only outlay of money that would have been needed to buy a box) then UPS or was it FedEX, came the next business day, asked for the return box and they added the label to it. Once it was received by Asurion I got an email telling me I could add the money to an Amazon gift card, which was simple to do. Barely over a year after I purchased a Fitbit Inspire HR, it fell off my wrist and that is when I realized that the plastic piece that held the clip for the wristband in place had broken. I filled out the online form and was sent a shipping label with instructions on how to return the product. Having been told that I would receive an Amazon gift card to replace the product within 10 days of Asurion receiving the product to verify the claim, I was more than pleasantly surprised to receive a gift code within hours of dropping the damaged device off at the UPS location. I was able ON THE SAME DAY to purchase a new upgraded version of the device and because the color I chose was being sold at a lesser price than other colors, the gift card also covered a new protection plan with 18 cents left in my pocket. :) Please do read the fine print. While this is a 36 month policy, that is the case only if the product is repaired and returned. If a refund/replacement gift card is issued the policy ends at that time because it is considered "fulfilled" and you will need to buy a new policy to cover the new device.
