Cuisinart prep knife set is nice and sturdy, sharp and good looking on the counter. I replaced an old set that had glued on decoration on the sides that were falling off. This set is made of stainless steel from the blade to the handle and is balanced in the hand, cuts good and cleans up easily. I ended up putting these knives in a different holder than the one came with because the block didn't fit on my counter. The block that came with them is great and seems really sturdy, but just didn't work for my purposes. These knives though?? Amazing. I love the look, weight and the feel of them. I previously had been using knives with silicone handles and while they were good, the silicone eventually started to wear away and peel off. I wanted a replacement that was a one piece construction and these were exactly what I was looking for. No edges and corners for water to get under and food to get trapped. This set comes with all the knives a regular cook might need and a pair of trusty kitchen scissors. I trust Cuisinart as a brand and they haven't disappointed yet. My only issue with these is that if you don't wipe them dry after you wash them, you may notice some water spots. Once I saw that, I promptly washed them again and wiped them dry before I put them away and they were fine. We cook about 3-4 nights a week so these get a lot of use and we've had them for almost a month. So far so good! Read more
