Really good value for the money, INCREDIBLE customer service

UPDATE 2/25/26: This is still a great deal for the money. It has worked flawlessly. I'm adding a star because of the seller's behavior. RenewByte-Quality Recertified helped me quickly, efficiently and without hassling me about the problem I encountered and the solution. I needed to implement NFS services on this system. I intentionally bought something running Pro because I anticipated this being a need. I went to activate the feature, and it wasn't there. I dug around and found that Win 11 Home had actually been installed. To me, this was a no brainer, easy think to fix knowing how the refurb market works, and it's an easy mistake to make, so shouldn't be any sweat. It took me longer working with Amazon to get a solid answer as to who specifically sold this to me through the Amazon refurb store than it did for RenewByte to solve my problem. All you need in this case is the right Product key and you can upgrade Home to Pro in-place (in case you didn't know that). RenewByte was ON IT. As soon as I figured out it was them (and not the three other places Amazon pointed me at) they listened to the problem, understood the problem as I articulated it, and got me the right product key, which, of course, worked. My wife's system now has Win 11 Pro, not Home and all it took was a reboot to complete the process once I put the key in. They could have, and I indeed have had other refurb groups run me around the mulberry bush to do a return because that's somehow "easier" for them when the only problem is something small like a card failed that I could replace on my own. RenewByte didn't do that. They took care of me with the least amount of friction possible. THANK YOU, RenewByte, I will be looking to you for my future needs in this class of machine without looking at others, based on your customer service. ************************ This is a great deal for a productivity system. The unit is fast, and if you've got your MS account tied to your Windows machine, it really is an easy process to migrate systems, even from Win 10. As someone who has a heightened sense of security and data privacy I'm not a huge fan of that, but it does work super smooth. For conducting online meetings with Teams or Zoom, MS Office work with large Word docs or Excel spreadsheets, it just cranks. The network is fast, it has plenty of USB ports and is not loud. I don't use the WiFi but it works and is decently fast. One thing I like about these Dell SFF systems is they are still expandable. There are 2 PCIe slots available, a bank of memory slots open, and I slapped a second SATA SSD for some working scratch space into the unit with zero issues. I would imagine based on how well it performs that it could be used as a kids gaming machine. It would run Minecraft without breaking a sweat for sure, but for serious gamers you'd want something with more video capability. I have used another one of these (though a 5070) as a linux jump server, and it works really well for that as well. It's tough to beat the price for what this system provides. Read more

I bought this computer model-Dell OptiPlex 7070 SFF Desktop Computer PC in April, 2025, - 5 days over the limited warranty period, the computer failed. Customer support/tech support worked with me diligently to try and reinstall windows remotely, to no avail. I sent the computer back and they quickly sent a new computer to me within days. It has been working flawlessly since July 2025. Technical support was was great. Would do business again with this company STG Skytech Global. Read more

High quality, inexpensive, powerful desktop/game server

ChristopherNovember 5, 2025✓ Verified purchase

PC sold mainly as advertised. It appeared mostly cleaned (save for some very light dust minus one star) , sealed and without odd smelling, came with some papers describing it was checked. The packaging was fairly well thought of and secured with foam corners. The PC came with a large mouse pad, a mouse, and a keyboard. These, while serviceable aren't great to use for long term as the mouse does not have a switch nor does the keyboard. The mouse tends to turn off after 2 minutes constantly needing to be clicked on to function after it turns off. They required 1 AA and 1 AAA batteries which they did not come with. They also have their own separate dongles. In my recommendation, replace when possible with better peripherals. As for the PC itself, it came with Windows 11 Pro as advertised. No bloatware of Dell which was nice to see just the vanilla, clean install of Windows 11. The machine is quick and responsive as expected of a machine with a 1TB NVMe drive, 32GB of DDR4 2666mhz of RAM, and a 9th gen i7 9700 with a blower style cooler. A nice addition was the power supply which is rated for an 80 Plus Platinum certification which is excellent use of power efficiency for a long term, long power on operations. the AX210 Wifi/Bluetooth module was taped to the front panel of the machine with the antenna loosely hung over the blower cooler. This was fairly sloppily put together even if it still remains functional. Though to note, the drive is of some no-name brand which is a PCIe 3.0 spec. I eventually plan to replace it with a more reputable brand but seems to be reliable for now. There are some scuffs on the machine but they are minor. There was a white powdery substance but it was easy to brush and blow away with some cleaning tools. The back panel of the machine also had a flimsy bend to it, but the metal itself seems a bit flexible in that area and was able to be pushed back without any visible damage. In the meanwhile of just owning the machine for a day, it will be purposed as an inexpensive game/media server. The price of 32gb of DDR4 ram and a fairly powerful 9th gen i7, this can't be beat for value and similar custom builds will easily go over the cost of a $450 machine. Everything considered even if several generations old, I would recommend this machine if the package included everything as mentioned prior. One should expect that this isn't going to play much more than light games or be a strong desktop for office use or a game server without a proper gaming GPU. Options in a SFF are limited and these discrete GPU are likely not worth the price and extra power strain on the system. You would be better getting a regular sized case for gaming purposes. Problem Dell Desktop

John C.March 3, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I purchased this computer in March of last year 2025. I took it to a computer business that I have dealt with for 15 years and he transferred the information from my old hard drive to this one. It worked fine until August and then it was speratically not turning on every time, but if you depressed the start button enough times it would eventually start. this problem became whorse as time went on. When I couldn't get it to come on al all I took it back to my computer professional and he went over it with a fine tooth comb. He spent a lot of time and could not find the problem. This cost me $135.00, he did not rip me off. It worked fine for some time but eventually I could not get it to come on at all. I was at a" you break we fix shop " with cell phone problem and he looked and spent a couple of hours going over my desktop and could not find a problem except perhaps a loose wire? It has now stopped working again. Am I allowed any compensation or do I just take it on the chin. I guess I should have returned it when it first started to act up. There is definitely a problem with this computer. Thanks for your time John Cross Read more
