Excellent value!
Very nice laptop. Good selection of ports but as typical, never enough USB and when using a USB dock/hub, most can’t deliver the full power from the charger resulting in a warning about reduced performance. Juggling which USB port to use for the dock helps to get around the warning. I haven’t yet pushed the performance envelope but so far I’m pleased. For my needs, the screen and video are more than adequate. Biggest complaints, while not unexpected, are the lack of Windows Hello support for biometric login; and the heat generated when calling on the cores to work harder. Definitely needs to be used with a laptop cooling fan. Having used Dell laptops, mainly non-workstation, for more than a decade, the quality of this machine seems to be a notch above that of the latitude and Inspiron machines that I’ve used in the past few years. And given that this was a refurbished unit, I saw nothing to indicate that was the case. Seems brand new to me, except for the price! Exceptional value! One hiccup quickly resolved by the seller was the inclusion of an incorrect charger. Very good customer service for a refurbished laptop seller! Read more
