Updating my previous review and changing to five stars: apparently it needed a “reboot”. Per the seller, press and hold the reset button (aka green light that I didn't even know was a button!) until it blinks, turn the light off at the switch (or on, if it is off) and it works again. It may have gotten reset during a power outage. Looking forward to being able to use the rest of the outlets for Christmas lights this year. Bought it to replace one that we lost the remote for. Worked great for about 3 weeks and suddenly stopped working. The light is on, but we have to turn the light on and off by the switch again, so that was a waste of money. We were only using it on one light, but had planned to use it for Christmas lights when the season came. Read more

Update: after posting this review mentioning the faulty remote, the supplier messaged me offering a full refund (which I accepted) - great customer service so update to 5 star. I didn't see a way for me to message supplier directly (but that's an Amazon issue - I have done this in the past) Product: DEWENWILS Indoor Remote Control Outlet, Wireless Remote Outlets Switch (5 Outlets + 2 Remotes) Bought this as had 2 remotes to control the 5 outlets and these are small enough that can put 2 of these outlets side by side in the same standard US wall socket (most are too large and block the other socket). Having 2 remotes is very handy [would take 3 if possible!] as I have one remote near front door [use to switch lights on/off when come in/leave] and another on coffee table in front of TV for adhoc on/off. Came paired for immediate use and each outlet has a green LED light when on - press this to manually switch it on/off [also used (hold down for 5 secs) if need to pair again] Everything was ok for ~3 months then one remote won't switch anything on/off - tried new battery CR2032 [also tried switching that with the other remote after taking battery out for 10mins] but no joy. When I press any button on non-working remote, it's little red LED flickers for ~3 secs [the working remote flashes for 1/2 secs] A bit disappointed only lasted 3 months...especially as one of the outlets is now in a difficult to reach place if I need to replace. The frequencies of the five switches are pre-set. I plugged all five switches in and with the remote, identified which switch was controlled by button one, then button two through five. Marked each switch to identify. Tested second remote. All five switches and two remotes worked perfectly. Wall mounted with sticky back. Will keep second remote and three unused switches as spares. First night of use so can’t testify to longevity. But so far so good. Very easy to reprogram and they don’t take up the whole outlet like my old ones did. Seem to have more range also. Very stiff to plug in but that’s better than too loose. Read more
