I bought this since we can no longer drive and talk at the same time, which I'm fully in agreement with...installation is a breeze, I have it mounted on my windshield to the left hand side of my steering wheel..the suction to get it to the windshield is awesome.. It has stuck perfectly.. No falling off, no shaking, no loosening... I had bought a different brand before I ordered this one and it was plastic, flimsy, and said it could hook into your car vents...lied, lied, lied..it would not hold my phone. The "arm" kept falling down, finally I thought i fixed it, nope still would NOT fit into the car vents..so I attached it to my window, and after 40 mins. It fell off... I have tried several phone mount solutions in the past couple of years. One store-bought one simply will not stay stuck to the windshield anymore. Another powered one squeezes and releases the phone electrically for when I had phones without mag-safe. This one is smaller than the other two when the phone is not mounted. The main thing is it stays put on the windshield which is vitally important! A nice feature for my Mazda CX-9 is the telescoping arm which allows the phone to be placed closer to the driver's hands at a distance of other dashboard controls in the deep dashboard of the CX-9. The magnet is strong and has never released a phone unintentionally. It is much easier to place and remove the phone compared to the electronic grip type. The phone also mounts in either vertical or horizontal position though we use vertical most of the time for navigation. If the dashboard surface is leather or curved, to be honest, it is not compatible. maybe the windshield is a good choice. 3. Turn on the base LOCK before adjusting the angle. This is a great phone mount that has withstood 20 months of daily use. It is easy to position, and the magnetic strength continued to hold up. Even more amazing is this company's service! Last month, I had to purchase a new phone cover, and was unable to salvage the magnet from the back of the old cover. I contacted the seller to see if I could purchase a new steel ring for the phone back. With several hours, I got a response asking for my address so they could send one to me free of charge!
