These are very sharp out of the box and cuts cleanly through vegetables and meats without excessive pressure. The stainless handles feel comfortable and balanced in hand, even during longer prep sessions. There is a convenient feature that helps maintain the edge between uses without extra tools. This set covers everything I need. Chef’s knife, bread knife, utility and paring knives, steak knives, kitchen shears, honing rod, and a sturdy acacia wood block. The acacia wood block paired with the stainless handles looks sleek and high-end. I don't recommend putting these in the dishwasher. I prefer to hand wash and dry immediately, which takes a little extra care but helps keep the knives in good condition. These are excellent for home kitchens, but not intended for heavy commercial or professional use. After consistent use, the knives have held their edge well with basic maintenance. I store them in the block and use the built-in sharpener occasionally. No rust, chipping, or loosening so far. In my opinion these are great for home cooks and to use for daily meal prep. They're not ideal for a professional chef or high volume commercial kitchen. Overall, this is a dependable and attractive knife set that performs well for everyday cooking. Best knife set I’ve ever had! I feel so professional using these and they are super sharp so be careful! It comes with a personalized letter. I have cut myself more time than I’d like to admit because of how sharp they are (but I love that they’re sharp). I have been washing them right away and drying them right after washing because it warns you that they are not dishwasher safe because they will rust. Take care of this knife set if you get it because honestly I treat them like it’s my baby and I won’t let anyone else use them because I want them to last forever! Read more

Ok, I do reviews, but not always. I thought I'd review these knives because I'm cautiously optimistic. I had my other set of knives for well over 20 years. I thought it was time for a new set as mine are pretty beat up from all these years. I picked this set because they had good reviews and looked nice too. I expected them to be a bit heavier or substantial as my other knife set was a little more heavy duty. I have to say though... as for sharpness, this set is spot on. I used what I think is a boning knife today, it made me feel like a mini-ninja! It cut like butter and I never expected that. Pros: Nice looking Very sharp lighter weight than expected but feel very nice in the hand Cons: Lighter than expected This set was a perfect replacement for my other knives.
