The central HVAC system feeding my bedroom is lackluster. The long duct run loses most of its cool air by the time it reaches my room. I plan to install a mini split, but I needed something to get me thru these 110 deg days until I can buy one. I got this portable and it is doing a great job. It was pretty simple to install. I like that I can use it at other places once my bedroom has a permanent solution in place. It is much smaller than the units from 10 years ago. And much quieter. Read more

Great cooling ability, quiet and smaller than most units! Read more

There are a ton of regular air conditioners, so as far as cooling goes on this unit, I'll keep it short- it works. It's about as noisy or quiet as you'd expect from a small unit with a compressor that needs to move a lot of air. That said, the vent noise outside is soothing, and my neighbors bloody leaf blower is louder on my patio than the a/c [editorial moment- can we all please just stop using leaf blowers and loud power washers unless you want to run the unit inside your house. stop sending the noise to your neighbors.] I digress.. The WiFi on this is good. There are instructions on how to put the unit in pairing mode (long press fan button) - like other Tuya products, slow blink is for AP mode (you have to connect to the random Wi-Fi the unit makes) OR fast blinking (the recommended way) where you click the plus, select appliance>WiFi a/c and you're up and running. 2.4ghz WiFi only, but that's still pretty standard for smart home products, it's an air conditioner! 2.4 is better thru walls and this doesn't need 5ghz to stream you a movie! Time will tell how this holds up. I'm impressed at what it can do in my living room with vaulted ceilings and no way to shut the room off from the rest of the house. As others have said, ~900W which is low for what it is, but it'll run down my 10.5kW battery pack pretty fast at my off-grid location, so I have to really decide when it's worth it. Also, yes. The window insert is pretty basic, and could be engineered better, but for most applications it should be fine. Or you can just use a bunch of tape and cardboard, lol. Read more

I would use it in smaller rooms than the recommended sq ft. Does well in small rooms not so much in rooms with the manufacturer recommended max sq footage. Read more

While it's convienent, this unit does NOT keep up with keeping a small room cool during the day. At night it's a lot better. However, had I known this unit wouldn't be able to keep up I would have bought a window unit. Not worth imo. Read more

Purchased this less than a year ago and does not work. Contacted support over a month ago, they told me they would send a replacement. That was 30 days ago, just getting the run around. Buy from a company that provides support, don’t even bother with this. Read more

Use this every day. Keeps the office cool. Does not take long to cool the office if I close the door. The noise cancelling in teams prevents anyone on the phone from hearing the AC unit in the background. I am pleased with the purchase. Read more

Very easy to get up and running with a few tweaks to the window slider. Had to make some cuts. The AC gets cold FAST and cools down a 12x12 bedroom like a champ! This unit reminds me of those motel room AC units that make the room so cold that you need a thick blanket to stay warm. Just started it up today so test of time as to how long it keeps working at this level! Very happy so far! Read more
