I have been using Sunco residential lighting products since 2018, so I jumped at the chance to review their commercial UFO High Bay Light. I have used their warranty in the past, and based on that experience, I have no doubt they will stand behind the 7-year warranty on this light. The light is bright at 21000 LM at 5050K. My use for it is indoors, but I'm glad to see that it has an IP65 rating. It is UL registered and made in Vietnam. This light is from Sunco's Commercial portfolio of lights. It is intended to be hung high. Sunco's marketing implies that 14 feet above the floor is the right height, however I suspended it 17 feet above the floor, and the illumination was quite adequate for performing detail work. Since I only have one light, I cannot speculate how far apart the lights should be spaced to light up a large area. Sunco suggests three methods of installing this light. The first method is to simply use the included lifting ring and hang it from a hook. The hook could be screwed into the ceiling or on the end of a length of chain. Sunco recommends securing the light with a safely cable to prevent falling, however they do not include the safety cable. The second and third method both require an optional bracket. Here is a link to brackets offered by Sunco on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQY5H4T2. Other brackets would probably work equally as well. In Sunco's installation guide, there are examples of the lights being angled instead of pointing straight down. Using the brackets makes this possible. The difference between Sunco's second and third method is the second method is to hang the bracket from the end of a 3/8 NPT pipe. The third method shows the bracket attached directly to the ceiling or a ceiling electrical box. At $60 per light, this is not the best value in UFO lighting, however with Sunco's great reputation, strong warranty, and heavy-duty construction, I have no issue with recommending it. Read more

I really like this Sunco UFO LED High Bay Light. It is bright, easy to install, and durable. It is commercial grade quality with a shatter-resistant aluminum housing and IP65 waterproof rating. This light has minimal shadowing and a solid build quality. Although the cord could be longer. The light can be used in various indoor settings such as warehouses, gymnasiums, and manufacturing facilities. Read more

These Sunco LED lights are commercial grade, very bright high-bay lights. They are designed for installations 15 to 30 feet off the floor. If you hang them much lower than 15 feet, you'll likely have too much glare to use them comfortably. That said, if you can use them, they are some of the nicest wide-area LEDSs fixtures I've seen. I have used several of a different model of these Sunco LEDs in our metal works shop with great success. This model is a little different from the others we have used, in that it's dimmable and has a slightly higher lumen output at 21000. I also think it has a better looking housing. It does use the same aluminum frame that helps protect the LEDs and acts as a heat-sink to help dissipate the significant heat it produces. It heats quickly and can burn you if you're not careful. Another thing to note is this model, unlike some others that have a standard 110 plug, has to be wired into your electrical system. To use the dimmer feature, you will also have to purchase separately, a compatible dimmer switch. A list of compatible switches is included in the manual. I found several available on Amazon but they were all heavy-duty and priced over fifty dollars. We're planning to use this fixture in our house that is being remodeled. Since it's dimmable, we're hoping we can tone it down enough to make it work in our basement, that has a 10-foot ceiling in the garage area. The light has a 5050k color rating which will be a bright white, day-glow color. With 21000 lumens, this is a seriously bright light. These lights come with an IP65 dust/water rating. This means they are designed to withstand permeation of small dust particles and water jets such as spray from a hose. They are not submersible but should be perfectly suitable for use outdoors under a shelter. I have had great success with Sunco products and anticipate this same from the high-end, commercial grade product. Very pleased with this purchase. Read more

Wow these bulbs are bright! They put out a lot of light and have a pretty good spread. I was quite hopeful to use these in my garage, though my ceilings are around 10ft so a little low for the specs these are intended for. Used in the best suited locations I anticipate they would work great. In my case, I just don't have the height to overlap my spread with 3 of these units and considering the enegy use vs my current method which is four 4ft shop lights and one large corn style light. Between my five current bulbs I have roughly 22k lumens and around 240 watts vs three of these having on paper significantly more light output and almost double the power usage, but due to my situation I have poorer overall coverage. Recommended for those with an adequate setup. I'm sure I will find another purpose on my property for these. They'd be a killer trouble/spot light for working on the car. Read more

Wow! I was not expecting it to be that bright! This is brighter than 4) 4 foot led fluorescent replacement conversions. I recently replaced a bunch of my fluorescent shop lights with led conversions. I'd have gotten rid of all of them if I had know about this light. It's so much better! It's more compact and way easier to install. I don't have this one fully installed yet. I just hooked it up for a test. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on t3 led conversions. These would have been a better investment. Not to mention I probably wouldn't have needed that many. Read more
