These UFO lights are extremely high quality and well made. They are very obviously meant for large spaces that need to be well illuminated. They are probably meant for more commercial type applications, but that isn't stopping me from using it in my two-car garage. They are rated for wet space use as well, so they can be used outdoors. The entire housing is made of metal. There are no plastic parts anywhere, and this just speaks to the overall quality of this product. Once this goes up on the wall, or the ceiling, chances are you're not going to be replacing it. This is definitely an example of a time when you will spend the money on a high quality item and not regret it because you will never have to worry about it. I have installed many light fixtures over the years and have seen all kinds of varieties of craftsmanship, and I can easily say that this is one of the best I have ever seen. I plan on using these in my garage, where I frequently do woodworking which requires good light, especially when refinishing and painting. Situation is seriously lacking, so I'm very much looking forward to having no shortage of light. Do note however, that these lights do not have on/off switches. I think these are meant to plug into outlets that can be controlled with a wall switch to turn them on and off. I was hoping to be able to use them with a motion sensor switch, however, I'm not sure that's going to be possible because the included documentation in the package did say that this product is not compatible with any third-party hardware, including motion sensors and dimmers. I haven't been able to mount these yet permanently, but I did temporarily hang one up on the ceiling and plug it in so I could get an idea of the brightness. I could not get a picture that accurately represented the amount of brightness from one light in my two-car garage. However, these lights are individually very bright. One light fixture lights up my garage to the point that I can see well, but for purposes of the detail work that I'm looking to do in my garage, I will need two lights. More than likely, I will end up using the additional light outside. I am very pleasantly surprised at the quality of these lights and think you will be too. These 150 watt UFO lights were purchased to be a direct replacement for 400 watt metal halide fixtures, they did not disappoint at all. The install went smooth, they look great and Warehouse-Lighting had them shipped quickly and they arrived ahead of schedule which is always a plus point. I ordered these UFO-shaped lights to install in my new shed. These are not super heavy, are easy to install, and three light up my 8 x 15 shed great. I usually only need one or two of these lights turned on. The cords aren’t long enough, so I installed a surge power strip on the wall high enough so it doesn’t get in the way and plugged all three lights into it. These are solid metal, and I find no plastic parts. They are rated IP65 waterproof, but I am not using them outside. But they could handle the rain or getting wet, but are not waterproof to the point that they could be submerged in water. Read more
